Wont be a FA however so will still have to pay something for him. Hopefully he demands us only and we can play hardball. About time we were the Eberter instead of the Ebertee.
If he doesn't re-sign he is only going to go WA and would choose us over Freo.

Connor McKenna the Irishman has been very very impressive at the draft combine.
He was also best on ground against the AIS boys in there game in europe.
4 clubs have expressed interest in him with WCE being one of the four.
He can be picked up out of the draft as a international rookie.

I hope WCE make a offer and he takes it up.

What would be a 'fair' trade for his club to release him?

We'd be selling the farm, no doubt, just to what extent? Darling & Gaff? 10 & Gaff?

Not sure I'd be comfortable in Darling & Gaff. Not wanting to let go of 10 in case Pickett was available either.
Coniglio is worth pick 12-18. He's done nothing and been disappointing. Both Darling and Gaff are worth more than him individually.

Why would we use pick 10 when there is some real midfield talent we could go for this year and wait until next year to get him when he is out of contract for less possibly?

Because he's far more talented that what would be available at 10. Because he may blow up next year and cost more. Because if he lives up to his potential as a goal kicking mid who can play inside and out it may help fix our midfield issues next year leading to top 6 or better.

Yeah surely we would be in his ear and GWS' and just make it obvious that it works better for them to trade him this year rather than next. Would pick 10 on its own get it done?? I don't really want to lose any players, our depth isn't great and I wouldn't want to trade brown.

Wow. No.

I think people are overrating some of these youngsters.unless they really show something in the first year or two they tend to depreciate a bit and he hasn't shown a lot tbh. Pick 10 is the most I would offer.

I would rather keep gaff on my list anyhow, he is more proven and becoming a very good player.
