We didn't have much of a need for Kennedy, Hvorat, Broomhead, Towers, Paparone, Wright, White ect...

Which is why we traded it out quickly for Wellingham, we only traded that pick because the match committee believed we could give the premiership a shake.
Let's debate this on the podcast hotshot ;)

are we really going to do it? give up 4 spots in the draft for pick 32 or whatever it is? I hope its the same as the shuey, selwood, gaff, darling, bullshit that afl.com.au keep feeding us. if not we are F$%&ED
couldn't agree more with you here, we must keep pick 6, I smell a sinister stitch up by Collingwood! I am certain they are looking to add a smooth moving inside midfielder with a left foot and likened to one 'Scott Pendlebury'!!!

Yeo is out of contract, He has nominated West Coast and we have a PSD approaching, get some pepper on your nuts West Coast!!

Shane Mumford was just traded for pick 35, Yeo is not better than Shane Mumford nor is his position one that is more important or does he play it with better execution. Sorry West Coast but we need to Man Up here.

From all reports, it's been West Coast that has instigated this deal, not Collingwood

personally its either pick 10 and 31 or no deal. i would refuse to take pick 11. collingwood knows who we want. the whole world knows we want sheed, so if they keep pick 10 its because they want to draft sheed. theres no difference to pick 10 and 11 if we say we are drafting sheed so why wouldnt they let us pick first. i say keep pick 6 though use the third rounder for yeo and keep pick 28.

The reason we want to trade you pick 11 not 10 is because of stealing sheed but rather if he gets drafted before those picks we don't have to worry about you guys taking one we may want. Its a strange option for west coast to take if true... but i can see how it benefits both. From a pies perspective i hope it gets done

It wreaks of unnecessary risk regardless the party who initiated it, imagine if in those five pick preceding our 11th, the names, Bontempelli, Sheed, Salem, Hartung and Taylor are called, this in conjunction with the first 5 talents already nabbed leaves us with players who could potentially require more thorough development, something I may add, is not a standout quality feature of our club.

Yeo is not worth pick 24 or 27, however pick 6 may be the difference between a Shuey or a S. Selwood.

Lets get the best talent available at pick 6.

Don't really mind if the bolded are called before.
Really like Salem but he is not our most pressing need at the moment.
Though I'd prefer him to Billings OIMO.

Actually scrap that.
He'd still be pretty useful.
Good user and big body.
Okay, your theoretical draft order has upset me.

We need to keep pick 6. We will not be in this position for a few years again, I am sure we have a decent squad and pick 6 will not reappear again for us in the next five years, all this with the backdrop of free agency in mind, if our good players leave we will lose them for pittance, not worth it.

I don't see this as being risk averse but rather an opportunity to learn from past mistakes where we didn't take Simon Black when we should have. If a genuine midfielder with natural ball winning and foot skills presents we must draft as midfields win games, this isn't breaking news, just ask Richmond!!!

We need midfielders who stand up in the big games, Sheed fits this position.

Simon Black was still available at pick 11 or pick 28 for that matter;)
