Shuey is staying.

Whats with the media saying we are losing Shuey, Gaff, Darling and Scooter?
Three are Vics. That makes it easy to build a story around.

Darling is just what many clubs really want (because he's a ******* star!) and the wishful thinking blurrs with reality.

Shuey > than pick two. He has only played 66 games and only 14 this year interrupted by injury. Best game was against Hawks. Shuey can and most likely will become elite in his next two seasons. He has explosive pace (he isn't one paced), a good and long kick on both sides.

Trading him for any pick is a huge risk and should only be done if he absolutely wants out and i reckon the media is full of sh*t

He is contracted, whilst that doesn't change his playing stocks, it does change the relative bargaining positions
The post I was responded to used the phrase "if he wanted to leave". If that were the case then having 1 year left on his contract improves his value somewhat but doesn't entitle us to a raping of others ....

He's not worth 11 AND 12.

To the poster who says he's better than Wellingham, based on what?

He's gone missing in big games; still struggles with a decent tag and has been injury probe from the start ...

These Shuey rumours really annoy me, Vic media obviously ignores the fact that he's just gotten his mother a house and moved her over here. What's the point in doing that if he's then going to go straight back to Melbourne 2 months later?
Couldn't get her son enrolled in Aquinas....

FWIW, Shuey's mum is in Victoria right now, and the Perth trip was just an extended stay on his mum and dad's behalf.

Has nothing to do with him staying or going though.

I wouldnt.

He had a promising break out year when he narrowly lost the rising star to Heppell, but since then he hasnt improved from a pick 18 in the draft to a pick 1. There are at least 10 players in that 2008 draft you would take ahead of him. He is 24 next year and most, if not all of his potential has been reached now.

Weve already lost 2 serial duckers so far. Its an embarrassment and i would love to see West Coast have 2 top 10 draft picks for the upcoming draft and lose a 3rd ducker in the process.
Well DUCK you too

If we are looking for pace we should seriously consider Joel Wilkinson. Not the most skilled player but can definitely break the lines if given the chance. Played predominately as a backman for Gold Coast, but I would be good across the wing, and forward flanks. Delisted by Gold Coast this year.

2010 Combine Results:
4th - Running Vertical Jump
1st - 20m Sprint
1st - Repeat Sprints
2nd - Beep Test
7th - 3km Time Trial

He is a queenslander so some work would have to be done to convince him to move across.

If we are looking for another solid and mature inside midfielder we should be looking at Kyal Horsley. Is from WA so should be easy enough to convince to head over. Would easily hold a spot in our midfield at the moment. Very unlucky to be delisted by Gold Coast this year - stiff competition in Abblett, O'Meara, Swallow, Bennell, Martin & Prestia. Averaged 4.6 tackles a game and 19 possessions in 2012 but unfortunately only played 1 game this year after doing an ACL.

To us I reckon he's worth that - if for no other reason that he seems to be the only bloke capable of winning a clearance and hitting a tit. 10&11 is still a coin flip on talent and I'd rather the bird n the hand.

On the tag, I agree - but if he is getting it, that leaves gaff and wellingham free. Hopefully we add another mid and can add potency n that area.

He wouldn't be worth 10&11 to Collingwood who despite losing wellingham and Thomas, still have a strong midfield.

It's why I don't think a deal would get done

So now Boots wants to leave along with Gaff and Scooter.

Not once in any of these "trade rumours" is it mentioned that all are contracted for next season.

No one gets to leave unless WE say so.

Just ask St Kilda.

Typical media trash, we should make a game out of this.

Let's all guess the next player mentioned for trade week that hasn't previously been brought up.

I'll go first.

Murray Newman. :p
