I think he is 50/50 to make it. But one thing is for sure. Our list, as it stands at the moment, can not afford to carry him. Petrie is almost done. Tarrant is an unknown and IMO unproven. Curran is untried and unknown and anyone's guess. Brown has shown a bit. Our KPF stocks are at a critical point. It doesn't look good
Yep KPF is our biggest issue and must be addressed in the offseason

I am not blaming Maj for tonight but Brown offers more to the side at present, for whatever reason, maj, petrie and black are constantly flying for the same ball.

He needs to be developed in the VFL as just a forward.

How can you be that big, with the core strength of a Rice Bubble?

If you only work out the biceps you are going to have big biceps.

He needs to think almost like a basketballer going for a rebound. As strange as that sounds, he needs to widen his stance, lower himself a little and then when ready push forward towards the ball and try to grab it with arms at an angle rather than straight up. Gives him an advantage with his long arms and makes the defender have to chop the arms or put hands on his back.

I'm so meh about the result.

Being at the game and watching us get the ball in transition is pretty funny. All the forwards either bunch up together and then we decide to slow it up a touch to let Geelong get back. Frankly it's %#$&ed.

We need some flair like last year. And Black, pull your finger out.

Did you go to the game?

I watched it on telly. If you can seriously tell me a "defender" who practically let his man walk into an open goal even when he dropped a sitter played better than Majak I'll go he. Mullet was terrible tonight.

I'll guarantee he was, the amount of mistakes he makes in terms of positioning, zoning off, creating space, supporting his teammates is at an un f***ing believable level.

In all seriousness if they're going to play him the runner needs to shadow him and tell him what to do at every point of the game.

If we are deciding who was better.....Majak or Mullet.....it is a pretty sad discussion to be honest. Neither was better.....they were both shite...SIMPLE!

His confidence has been shot for a while. Only came back in when Brown hurt his finger and was surprised Brown wasn't back this week. I'm still a strong Maj supporter and think he has progressed much more as a ruck man than as a KPF, but reckon he is better off in the VFL for now. He is actually not that far off being a handy footballer. His ruck work is quality and his marking is improving as he develops his game sense, but is clearly not a happy camper on the field atm. He cops more scrutiny than most and with his court case going on, I don't think playing when he is struggling is doing his development that much good. Give him a spell? Yes. Delist? No.

Sure, he wasn't great, but I can't say Drew or Az Black were great either. He's got a long way to go though, but in Maj's defence most of the coaching is done pre-season, during season it sounds like they only train for 1-3 hours a week. And pretty sure Maj got injured in preseason, so he didn't have time on the track to implement what he learnt. I'm sure that's stalled his development somewhat.
I think next year with a full preseason he can be judged fairly and if he doesn't get better, he's not worth persisting with.
Needs to have a bigger impact next year though, no doubt about that because Brown will pass him.

After a few years of reading these posts I thought it was finally time to comment myself.

Anyone at that game last night who didn't think majak was worst on ground is kidding themselves.

I actually feel sorry for the guy. He is clearly a long way off what is required from an afl footballer and brad Scott is doing him no favours by playing him.

I have the feeling last night may have been the last time we see majak running around in north melbourne colours.

Maj is having a massive impact on the game right now as it like we are playing one short.

Eg: opposition kick ins he is, constantly the weak link that lets it out if he can't stand on the mark.

He stands like a statue in the dangerous space and stagnates the movement of all other forwards.

I could go on but what's the point.

I enjoy having Majak out there, and every Club would have a worse big man on their list.

Sure he wasn't good last night but as someone else alluded to He's got a bit on his mind and it isn't footy related.

Silly thread , Maj will be ok .

Name one tall in the history of the game who has had less knowledge of what to do without ball in hand than Maj.

And let's be honest he was just as bad before the court case thing blew up.
