Any targets from the pool of delistees.

Brad Symes has to top the list here, while he couldn't crack the Crows list the SANFL and is now available.

The other one to loo at is Jarrod Irons from Port, can be a little bugger on the small forwards with a but of guts on the clearance. Needs work on both tank and disposal quality, but that was good at under 18 level so it may achievable.

What player does Brad Symes push out of our grand final 22? He would be at best 2nd in line behind McGlynn, and that is being generous. I'm not a fan of recruiting players who will be 28 next year to act as depth in the reserves

understand your concern which is why Im ignoring Surjan.

This year however we were very fortunate in that our injury list was small and with the loss of Heath next year I think a lot more players will have rests and games off ALA Geelong 2009 and Collingwood 201o. An aging Half Back list I see an opportunity to bolster depth in continuing a premiership tilt. If Bolton decides to retire I do see a chance to slot him into the rotation and he is a real quality player if he walks into the club for the loss of no one I don't think we should say no.

I'd be interested in Petterd and Cook for sure, maybe even Bate just as back up. They aren't necessarily bad players, just were holding down the Melbourne culture, but ours would be strong enough I would think.

I would think a lot of these delistings were about making room in the cap for Tippett, which would mean there isn't much money left over after upgrading a ffew of our younger players like AJ and Parks. Imagine JPK is in line for an increase. Which would leave us into the draft for talent, which we haven't done too badly recently. While I agree teh HB line looks a little aged, they are all very durable and Armstrong is ready to go with LRT still an option if a tall goes down. I don't htink it's a big issue for next year

Tom Gillies, Lucas Cook, Jarrad Bouman (reckon he has potential if he gets stronger and is in the right set up) and Steve Salopek (despite how poorly he has been going the last few seasons) are the names that spring to mind when it comes to delisted players I would consider and take a punt on.

Ricky Petterd is a good player and will find a home somewhere but I don't think we have a need for a kind of player like him.

Tom Gillies is the one we should be looking at, definitely - replaces Heath and Spangher with a player that from all reports should be pushing for a start. Paul Bower is another option. There have been rumours around that Silvagni will be delisted at Fremantle, he would be another one.

Hello, I'm back. So, trade period is over and will come back next year with a lot of players who wants to get traded. Now, we are discussing about the delisted free agency period where if you are a player who gets delisted, you will get to the delisted free agency period, it's coming from November to December.

I've just heard that Matthew Bate and Ricky Petterd from Melbourne has been delisted, I'm not sure why it happened; so I'm thinking about those two players will get a new home coming next month, I can't wait for the delisted free agency period. It will be amazing and delisted players will get new homes immediately! Wow, see you later!

So excited your posting about your excitement on other clubs boards...

I'm convinced the delisted free agency period is now the event of the year, it surpassed the finals itself.

Gillies for me.

We've delisted or traded 10 players and added 0 so far. At this rate we won't even have a 22 by years end. Maybe Horse and Roos will through on a jersey and we can possible auction off to the public each week the winner gets to be the substitute the following week? ;)

We could raffle the last spot on the list........ But the fear is the bulldogs might think were an improvement to their list and draft us before the Swans turn

id have a look at Cam Wood, but from what i have heard he has been delisted for a reason. would have to work bloody hard to get a game.
We need ruck depth to replace Seaby's departure and I think it would have to be someone who is ready to step in if required and not some skinny 18 year old.
