Worthy of a list spot? For me it comes down to how much space we have. For instance if it came down to a pick 50+ or Ledger I'd be inclined to give him a go.

Harsh on Jaimie Bennel, he has the tools to be a solid acquisition, and considering we only gave up a rookie spot, I'm glad we brought him over. He's better than any players we grabbed in the national draft last year sadly enough.
Weedon for me is a wtf moment. He would've been around late in the draft, and there were still players of the calibre of Duncan and Bartlett (I know he's been delisted but I'm talking at the time) still available.

Yeah I know.. Bennell has a bigger beak and looks a little older.
I do not mind Bennell and think he will be more than handy if his body holds up. But i would have left him on the rookie list for one more year though.
I'll always be protective of Bennell somewhat knowing him through school.

Yeah I like Horsley , did pretty well for Subiaco a good penetrating kick , not that quick but reads the play, the only benefit I think he has is his kick otherwise same pace as what we have , happy to be proved wrong though

Yeah I did see BENNELL in the southwest comp , he stood out to me , then Melbourne hard to say with a struggling club
Now with eagles but injured and back into it , a pre season,certainly worth a go with him he had some pace and good skills and maybe the new coach can get the best out of him , lets hope

Different sort of player because more of a pure mid whereas Cripps is a flanker. I'd say on a par with Cripps in terms of ability, Saints fans seem to really like him. Pretty sure he was drafted straight from school footy so he was quite raw when he arrived at the Saints (as opposed to having played alot of WAFL footy).

Yep, very fair assessment, very raw, not much exposure, but seems to have some good tools to work with. To my mind he is the one to look at out of this list of delistees.

We have 5 retirees and 3 rookie upgrades? Leaves us 1st rounder for Sheed and 2nd rounder for Yeo. Then we're done - no more picks except for 3 new rookie picks.
To get more picks we have to trade out somebody ? Or delist Newman and re-rookie him? Or retire Kerry?
Or delist some more spuds?
Otherwise we will play a very conservative hand in trade/recruitment this year.

Yeah that's the order we are entitled to ATM. But we only have 2 spots open until we delist some more players. Max number of players is 44 I think and we have 42 on books now. Plus 4 rookies spots, 1 is filled by Sinkers.
