Delisted Players

I was wondering if delisted players become Free agents or if they sill have to be given clearance from the clubs that deliasted them before they can play elsewhere? does anyone know?

As far as I know Dons_R they are free to go (if anyone wants them that is) to any club anywhere of their choice.

they either have to be traded by the club (eg. salmon for wellman and barnard)
or
enter the draft
(eg. john barnes)

Walshy1993 is right. Clubs can trade the player to another team and see what they can get but a player can't go to the team of their choice unless they have the pick in the December draft. If they decide not to go then they can nominate for the draft like O'Bree did for the Pies last year.

Both walshy and freorules are right, but Dons_R did you mean only clearances for movement within the AFL or for any other league. VFL,westar country leagues etc?

I meant other leagues Vfl Westar Whatever, sunday amateur leagues etc not afl, soory about the unclearness of the question

In that case Dons_R they can go to any club of their choice. What happens to them once they are in those leagues I dont know if they would then need a clearance to move again. Ie from Box Hill to Swan Districts. But I dont think there is anything to stop them just transfering if they wanted to.
