Lol only cowards use ignore
Christmas is meant to be full of cheer. Even I am being positive for onceDelisting for many years has been our most enjoyable time of the year. A great way to feel vindicated for ones lack of belief in xxx player, coupled with poor on field performance that for many players hasn't been ignored
I thought it an apt time to reflect on our drafting between the years of 2018-2021.
2018
Pick 8 - delisted
46 - delisted
49- Scott, will make the headlines in this thread later next year
3 x rookies - all delisted
2019
Pick 31- Comben- going ok
34- delisted
35- delisted
Mid season pick - delisted
2020
Pick 3- delisted
13- Powell- see Scott( unless the finger is extracted)
36 - delisted
42- delisted
56- delisted
2x rookies- delisted
2021
Pick1 - traded
22- Goater - fingers crossed
35 - Curtis- thank farks
38- delisted
59 - Archer
2x mid season - delisted
1x Rookie - delisted
In total 25 selections and we've retained Scott, Comben, Powell, Goater, Curtis & Archer.
My takeaway is we've done this deliberately. Ironically our best year of the 3 is 2021 and our number 1 draft picked ****ed off. And it's still our best year, crikey!!
Our soft cap issues won't be the fault of al clarko, it's our booming delisting department, at this rate they'll need a new wing at Arden St to house them all. As it currently sits (2026) I see 10 players that shouldn't be feeling comfortable with where their careers are at.

To then double down and draft three of the exact same type of midfielder the year after, two of which are now gone, just adds to the pitiful situation.Combine that drafting with absolute puss trading (both into and out of the club) and it’s easy to see why we’ve stayed down for so long.
I said in 2019 that trading out of that first round was the most idiotic thing to do considering we were a year or two into a massive list overhaul. Said it would cost us years on the rebuild. Ultimately it did. 2019 was a top tier draft and 2020 ended up being a stinker.
A 24 year old Caleb Serong with 120+ games under his belt and we win an extra 4-5 games in 2025 and 2026. The trajectory of the rebuild would look totally different.
