all delistings are 100% correct.
Nahas was servicable in a poor side, but now our recruitment is better, he is surplus to our needs. Good luck back at Prt melbourne or WCE. started to believe that he was better than he was. the moment he he spat it for being the sub he was gone.
McGuane - serviceable, honest, back up player. did well to play 100 games and always gave his all. won the game in round 1 this year with THAT TACKLE. kneew his limitations and never got ahead of himself. will always be mixed feelings about him
Derickx - cost us in Cairns and seems to never have recovered mentally from it - Hampson signed his papers.
Lonergan - was always going to be a backup. not here long enough to make an impact.
Verrier - absolutely no idea about him.

Tuck (retired) - very good player, was never a superstar. battled hard everyday he was on the list, and, while he was racking up touches and being a main stay in the top10 b&f most years, was always mentioned as being delisted every year. hard as nails and put his body on the line every game.was unfairly underrated by 90% of the competition including Dimma in the first few years. everyone wishes him the best of luck in the future.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but do we have a bit of $$$ lying around now?
These are only guesses, as I have no clue about current contracts but:

McGuane - $350k
Nahas - $350k
Derickx - $200k
White - $350k
Tuck - $300k

That's roughly $1.5 million spare in the salary. Hampson is on about $250k, Pettard will be offered a new contract on about $300k... That still leaves about $1 million in the salary cap.

If that's correct, perhaps we're getting ready to make a move for a high-profile F.A next year.

Plus I think Foley and Jackson are eligible for the veteran's list next season I read. Even more cap space if that's the case!

I rated derickx, it looked to me like he was a good young ruckman on the up (apart from injuries) but obviously Hardwick doesnt think so, anyone think he is worth a punt as a rookie?

He could probably be a handy rookie addition - can play ruck and at both ends - given I think your ruck stocks are a bit light, you probably are in the market for a rookie ruck just in case.

Not sure how much rucking he did in the VFL for us with Stephenson coming aboard. I believe he played more as a CHB and CHF in 2013.

lets hope so I want him, we need depth

Agreed - I didn't see Lonergan retiring so Thomas' addition is even more needed IMO

I'd take Dalziell.
If anything for a bit of depth and to compete in our VFL side.

He's an interesting one - apparently had his career best season for WC this year and averaged about 17 disposals and kicked 15 odd goals. Probably could do worse for the rookie list as depth. I don't know much about him though (attitude, injury history, strengths, weaknesses etc).

Still cant believe you let Tambling go.

I'm actually in shock the Crows let him go - with Tex coming back next season, why would they delist their best player?

Obviously setting their sights on winning a spoon next year

Nahas - $350k If he is on 350k I will eat poo. Glorious poo knowing 350k of utter poo was gone from our list.

What i is it with poo of late I'm sure I read in another thread some talk about polishing poo, now talk of eating it !! o_O ;)

winnyblues knows a thing or too about that TJ.

At this rate, its going to be a Poo-fect off season :p

Just a joke about a WCE fan called winnyblues who said if Richmond beat WCE he'd eat poo.

His contract is up, he informed the club he would be seeking opportunity elsewhere to be near family. So they say they delisted him, no, he left.
yes, he did leave but the Club has to "delist" him for him to go to another Club as he wasn't traded

As others have tried pointing out, try reading my post again
The only ways a player can be removed from a teams list is to be retired, traded or delisted.
For him to signed by Brisbane, given he wasn't traded to them, we have to delist him first

It isn't malicious or petty, just the rules.

Dylan Addison would be a rookie upgrade as like for like for Lonergan.
Harder than a cats head.

I was surprised the Dogs let him go. Not the worst on their list.

I'd love to see him at Punt Rd. I can't see him getting many games in the seniors, but he'd do a lot of the VFL heavy lifting.

Polishing, eating…….that guy was talking poo…..Bon Appetite ;)

A really positive article by/on Robbie on the AFL website. Seems he knew for quite a while that his position was under threat. Yet he still has good relationships with players and the RFC. Good on him….easy to say we gave him his chance etc etc but I'm not sure many in his position would handled it that well….:thumbsu:

Good luck to him. He has taken it well.

"I haven't even packed up my locker yet. Until I'm moving to a new club, I'm not taking anything out of my locker."

He still has his boots at Punt Rd, so if no other club picks him up, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the VFL team.

Yeah I've gotten the point from the other posts already

This - I think Lovett Murray is rumoured to be coming to our VFL side, would rather have Nahas personally. Guy finished second in the Coburg B&F from 14 games :thumbsu:

I would not be surprised if Melbourne pick's up Nahas as a rookie.

Hopefully he gets picked up, can still do a good job for a lesser side and is young enough to play for another 7-8 years.
