Prediction Delisting...

Why haven’t we chopped anyone yet? I’m getting impatient. Surely surely we’re chopping more than just 3 retirees.

I see no benefit in cutting anyone before trade period tbh.

Getting an extra or upgrade of picks no matter how shite it is is never a bad thing. If some moron team would offer a fourth round pick for Sutcliffe you’d run away laughing. As impossible as that sounds it’s literally impossible if he’s already delisted. Keep them and cut who we want to cut after trade period.

Sheridan has skills. He just sits on his hands for most of his days

Yeah, absolutely. Not saying he's elite etc., but skills aren't his issue. He just can't get into the game as much as a player of his ability should.

FWIW, I think the way he was used in the second half of the season is about right. More fwd/wing type than HBF occasional mid which is where he seemed to be used more up until this year. You'd think he'd make a good mid/HBF but he just doesn't hunt the ball hard enough & play tough in the one-on-ones to do that. But a bit looser fwd of centre, he's done OKish as far as I'm concerned. Not your ideal starting 22 good enough, but as a solid backup.

I'd be surprised if we did delist him this year ... trade on the other hand might be in the mix if the various pieces fall in the right place.

Since the saints were thick enough to swap a second for Freeman, I wonder if we could piss in their pockets enough to sway them

He is useless.

According to Sunday Times Sheridan, Sutcliffe and Grey were told the club could not offer them contracts at this time.

Looks like we've learnt, try to trade before delisting.

I think Grey and Sheridan should be offered 1 year deals if no trade is forthcoming.

According to Braden Quartermaine in the Sunday Times Sherro, Grey and Sutcliffe have been told that they cannot be offered new contracts at this stage .

Sheridan has the most value, late second
Grey I'd say is a third or fourth.

Sutcliffe a bag of chips.

They’re all worth a bag of chips mate. Difference is Sheridan may actually have interest - the other two won’t.

But a fourth round pick is better than nothing - it’s about all we’ll get for Sheridan. Can almost guarantee our other out of contract players won’t be on one of the 17 other AFL lists next year - it’s ours or nothing for them.

The Dockers are looking to add experienced players and draft picks this off-season and out-of-contract players including Cam Sutcliffe, Brady Grey, Ethan Hughes and Tommy Sheridan are in limbo for the time being.

"Any player that isn't contracted for next year was told (at exit meetings), quite conclusively, that no final decisions had been made on their contracts," Rosich said.

"We're waiting to see how a few of our plans in the off-season develop."

Nyhuis would want to get opportunities elsewhere. Doubt we’d get much for him though.
I dunno. Surely stopping the opposition small forward from kicking 5 goals every week puts your team half way there before you even start. Especially for a team like us who doesn't score much

It would be a shame to get rid of Strnadica, he for one has come along in leaps and bounds this year.

On the ABC yesterday, Duffield was giving him a lot of pumping. As you say, he has come on in leaps and bounds, as the season went along.

Also said watch for the big Tasmanian forward emerge next season, came from a fair way back due to coming from Tassie system and as such was a bit raw this season. Will be in the best 22 by this time next season.

According to Masai’s Trading policy, Strnadica is a keeper.

Yeah, I would have thought Meek was tradeable before Strnadica. Even Micale who said earlier in the season that Strnadica lacks intensity, was very impressed with a couple of his games later in the season.
Dixon knows where the goals are, so in Freo's forward line that is a big plus.
I agree with your trade policy

how long did we have Moller on the list? feel like Strnadica has already shown way more than he ever did
He shows more than Moller up forward. Moller was very good in the ruck but so is Nads. Both were a bit scrawny and therefore have taken a bit of time.
