Cam Croad has already retired.
Franchina, 27 didn't play a senior game
Beasy, too short to be a ruckman
Campbell, shame, he was a ball magnet at Murray Bushrangers
Hulme, needs more skill

Livingston and Mcormick traded.

I'd expect McCormick, Croad (obviously), Franchina and Campbell to be axed for certain, not sure who beyond them, but there'll be more than these 4.

Other that might be at risk i believe are Clarke and Kenna. They were given there chance and didnt show much promise at all.

And to be honest, i DONT wanna see Lance go! I DO wanna see a fully fit Lance running around the park next year, easing the presure on Favola and our forward line. What u guys think?

clarke was contracted for 2 yrs i think ... but i reckon we pay out his salary and move on ... kenna drafted so i think he's on the list a minimum of 2 yrs ... beasy i reckon could get delisted as well.

as for lance ... if we dont get something worthwhile i dont wanna see him go for the sake of it ... i mean if we dont secure a 1st round pick/ruckman/key defender id say no way.

Harford could get the sack..?

His a good player, just a bit on the old side which doesn't help...

He should be staying for 1 more season though.

Hey everyone, I'll add my 2 cents!

Croad - As has been said, has apparently retired. Bit of a shame, apparently had potential.
Franchina - Out of chances, getting on in years.
Beasy - Worth persisting with, has some talent.
Campbell - Most likely delisted.
Hulme - Tough one, unless a trade can be worked out, could be delisted.
Livingston - Hasn't proved himself when he's been given the chance. A bit slow, too. Possible trade bait.
Mcormick - See Livingston.
Harford - He'll stay around for one more year at least. Played better towards the end of the year, good to see.
Mott - Unlikely Carlton will give him 2005 to prove himself - his days in the AFL appear numbered.
Kenna - One of my favourite players, but his size is an issue. Didn't get too many opportunities in 2004, and I'd say they'll keep him on the list.
Clarke - Another tough one. Doesn't appear to have the drive required to play regular senior footy. Trade or delisting.

Croad was a ********er. Ability but no heart or desire.

Mott signed for 2 years so if we get rid of him we will have to include him in the salary cap. So realisticly he plays VFL or puts in some effort and plays AFL. Unlikely we could trade him.

Harford will stay. May be old and slow but the guy is all class. He is a leader and we need leaders at the club with the amount of youth that we have.

Kenna hasnt done enough and will probably go. Unfortunate but we need to draft players of class.

Livo will stay for one more year. Needs an uninterupted pre season and fitness. Skills should hopefully improve and we need someone who has size in the backline.

Clarke - Definately has the drive to play seniors but doesnt have the skills. His only attribute we need is pace, shame he doesnt have anything else.

Beasy has talent but doubts exist if he can take it to the next level. Maybe one more year to prove himself.

Hulme - The past two year have seen him cop more than his fair share of injuries and everytime he looks down and out he bounces back. We need tough nuts like him. Sure his foot disposal lets him down but in and under he goes hard. The Collingwood game saw him winning the hard ball and finding players in space by hand. Wasnt just Davies on his own.

Mcormick - Gone. Has had two years and while able to perform when our list was total crap wasnt able to have an impact this year as we improved.

People need to remember we are rebuilding and because of penalties have had to try pot luck at rebuilding. Some have worked some havnt. We should have faith in Dennis to make the right decisions. We will need a lot of luck again this year because to get class through trades you need class to trade. We are very thin in this area and can ill afford to lose what we have. If lance was fit and firing would any here real want him gone. If he does go we had better get someone special for him because I can see him having a big year in 2005.

Agree. All other clubs are trying to talk him down in the hope that they get him cheap. If we get something decent in return then fine but I think Lance is worth more than what other club supporters seem to think.

At times this year (possibly his worst year ever) when he did occasionally turn it on you could see just how important he can be.

I just hope he can get himself fit and get off the UDL's and Hamburgers. As strange as this sounds he needs to take a leaf out of Fevvy's book! Otherwise he could be heading for the same scrap heap as James Cook.

But what do the Bulldogs have to give for lance? :D Thats what you meant by same scrap heap as Cook isnt it??
;)

On TBV a reliable poster thinks Hulme will be offered a 1 year contract while Frangga will be delisted. Hope that's not the case cos if we are moving forward then imo there is no place for PUP

:D I was just talking about that with a couple of my Bulldog supporter friends the other night.......I don't think they've ever forgiven us for that. Based on the Cook trade (not sure what we got for him....was it Hoggy?) I suggested we do a straight swap - Lance for Harris....needless to say they both told me F**K off!! Maybe we can throw in Franchina and Clarke for good measure ;)

In all seriousness though they were both pretty keen to get Big Red over to Whitten Oval. Like I said though I think most people reckon they can get him pretty cheap. Hope that doesn't happen.

I disagree KW....while I think that Hulme could possibly be used as trade bait I still think there is value in retaining him. He was a pretty important player for us last year and I still reckon he's got abit to offer. Good hard nut warrier type who's happy to fly the flag...no matter who the opponent is (remember the J Brown incident?) and can get the pill as well. I know his skills let him down and he struggles to kick more than 30m but I'm sure the master mind will find a role that will suit Hulmies game - just like he did Prenda. Not the most gifted player but Denis has managed to hone in on his strengths and got the best out of him this year.

How old is Hulmie?

Hulme should be cut from the list.......we need quality players not players who dont win enough of the ball and can't kick past 35m while turning the ball over

Bentick and Johnson have both overtaken him

From what I've heard he was offered for trade last year but no one wanted to pick him up..............not suprising
