I spoke to roach the other night ... I served him at a resturant and he seems all too confident that he isnt going to get delisted.... talking about his big pre season ahead, work outs at the gym..... Has he been delisted... will he or not??

I will celebrate if he remains a Tiger...probably an unpopular view though...

If thats the case, though, surely it'd spell curtains for Moore and/or Jacko...and Howat staying rookied...

Thats crap.
I really know Thomas, in fact I'm going to see him tonight and play Basketball with him.

Tom pretty much knows it is all over at Richmond and has been offered to train with one other club so far, he is keeping himself fit just in case a footy club wants him, if no club wants him his most likely chance is to go play in the SANFL.

yeah mate no joke he seemed as though he was to be there next year no questions asked unless he was partaking in a preseason else where

Correct me if wrong, but we had 39 on list prior to retirements/delists (if Roach & Rodan) right. Humm was only elevated rookie. Leaves 34.
This means if you add Polak & Howat will have 36, giving a choice of 3 at Nat & 1 at PSD (if wanted - there are a few I would look at there).
(Not too sure would be much at # 60 in Nat) So retain current list.
Thoughts?

I don't think you said 'ditch Humm' through your post so, ditch Humm and pick a drifter with pick 60. I would prefer an 18 year old with possibility of becoming this years Bartram than keep a bloke who offers next to nothing. :thumbsu:

No what I said was Humm was only temp on list (elevated rookie). Was a mistake, but worth trying. Thus doesn't count to senior list.
Pick 60, unless You have a smokey (ala Raines) is risky. Personally would like to give a go to Lucy or even Ball. (There is still rookie list in formers case). Still pick up at least 2, maybe 3 good kids + a good up-and-comer.

Agree to disagree, pick 60 is a must IMO.

Would love picking up Lucy although he wouldn't be delisted 1st year for no reason, he must have some sort of problems the bombers cant see him overcoming, but, thats what rookies are for.

Looks like we'll be taking 5 in the draft and one in the psd. Carlton have committed pick 1 of the psd on Ackland, so we'll have pick 7 of the remaining lot (possibly higher if clubs below us skip the psd).

Tigers plan for pre-season draft
9:09:08 AM Mon 23 October, 2006Tony GreenbergRichmond has six selections available in the upcoming AFL National Draft (No. 13, 26, 58, 60, 74 and 90) but intends ‘saving’ the final one for the pre-season draft.

And, the Tigers will take an ‘open-minded approach’ into the pre-season draft, which will be held on Tuesday, December 12.

“We took a mature-age player in Trent Knobel two years ago (in the pre-season draft) and then went for a youngster in Matty White last year, so we’re certainly prepared to look at all options,” said Richmond coach Terry Wallace.

“We’re more than comfortable to add a senior player to our list via the pre-season draft.

“If we think that a player can have an impact on games for us, we’ll go after him.

“It’s something we’ll just weigh up over the next few weeks as we see who’s available.”

How many players are there looking like being in the PSD???
And who is the most likely to be picked up by us???

Still more to be delisted I reckon. Geelong delisted Kent Kingsley, Paul Kouloriotis and Matt McCarthy today. I'd like to see us go with a young guy that is doing well in one of the next tier down comps- WAFL, SANFL, VFL. I think of Eagles rookie Matt Priddis who played a couple of games for the Eagles this year, won the Sandover Medal and is a class act who at any other club would be in the midfield rotation. I might whack on a new post to see if anyone can throw up some players in these leagues that might be worth a PSD pick?

Wouldn't mind picking up McCarthy in the PSD.
Got talent and kicked 5 goals against Carlton plus he is a very good size.

Currently 37 players, 2 are rookies. If we have 2 vets outside the main list, then that's 5 spots free. If we're drafting 6 new players then one more will have to be cut.

greg stafford kicked 4 so whats your point

yeh and tom roach is a good player

ray hall would smash him rofl
McCarthy isn't over 30 years old for one.

McCarthy is 196cm and 105kg, that is 8kg heavier than Ray Hall.

McCarthy can't kick and has never made a big impact. Although his only 24 theres better options

That extra player to come off the list is likely to be a guy who has been on the list for 3 years and hasn't played a game yet. It is hoped that he will be a rookie in 2007.

daniel jackson is a perfect candidate, put him on the rookie list and tell him to get his body right and find a position at coburg

he's just wasting a possie already on the list

if gaspar and Richo are on the vet list

and if Roach Humm Rodan kellaway have joined Chaff and Staff on the departure list

then we can have 5 picks in the draft

so long as we leave Howat and graeme on the rookie list

--------------------------------------------------

if we want a PSD pick we'll have to cut another player but that can be done later on

Who the hell are you talking about, no one has been on our list for three years and hasn't played a game.

Limbach and Casserly are the only two on the list who haven't played a game. Neither have been there for 3 years. Next year would be Limbach's 3rd, so maybe you're talking about him?
