Absolutely shithouse, if we weren't bombing it long we were putting it over the bloke's head instead of out in front, IMO lost us the game right there.

Would love to see Dawes and Cloke get some decent delivery.

Was very happy with the rest of the game except maybe kicking for goals. Looking at you Macaffer.

End Rant, could go on all night but **** that I'm off to the pub!

Kicking efficiency 39% in the forward half, in the second half.

Says it all. Never seen delivery so bad.

Yeah, agree 100%. There was absolutely no structure to our forward delivery tonight. It was reliant on luck only, and was working in that period in the 3rd quarter, but then fell apart after that. I don't recall anyone marking the ball and actually converting the goal in our 50.

And also, whenever it WAS delivered into our 50, it was on the wings, which made the goal conversion very difficult. Silly decisions.

Very very ordinary kicking into the forward 50.

The half forward line was definately where we lost the game tonight. Whether it was the ball being bombed long and high to no one in particular or there being no one front and centre, it really cost us. It wasnt just on the offensive side either, there were so many goals that Geelong kicked that started from turnovers in our forward 50. Geelong's extra man back killed us.

Agree the Kicking was Disgusting and Made the team work way harder then it normally does and do that against the Cats and you have no chance

Reason why we lost it in our foward half was because Geelong defence were fantastic....It was Geelongs defence that won them the game... We probably needed a more imposing figure up front or someone to take them on (wished it was Davis, but was let down again:().

Davis is a crumber not a KPF. The fact he was one out inside fifty at all was the real problem. Cloke and Dawes both played too far up the ground when at least one should have been anchored inside fifty to bring the ball to ground for the likes of Davis.
On Davis, he clutched at his right calf several times after contests.
Any word on an injury?

It's no coincidence that our last few games against cats and saints that we've kicked low and inaccurate scores. Whether it's Mick's choice or they just make us play that way, we always move the ball slowly along the boundary. Eventually we get cornered or the cats (or saints) will cover our key forwards and we're forced to bomb it long (to leon davis:rolleyes:). It certainly needs to be addressed.

Heard he's playing without a heart and no guts.

Our defence was at least as good as Geelong's last night if not better, with the pressure they were under.

The point I was trying to make with this thread was I can't remember how many times one of our players was steaming down the wing/half forward in space(No pressure) and instead of putting the footy to advantage of the bloke leading at him we popped it up in the air giving scarlett and taylor every opportunity to spoil.

If my local team serves up delivery like that today I can guarantee that come tuesday night we will be doing alot of running.

Spot on. As soon as we started playing like that I knew the game was over; too busy rushing in a desperate attempt to score and just far too easy for Cats defenders to clean up.
