People used to criticise GSP for being a decision merchant. Same with Usman (I remember Colby calling him Snoozeman lol) before he knocked Masvidal's head off.

Chandler is an exciting fighter but taking risks doesn't always get the results.

I don't argue that at the end of the day, boring or not, it's on the opponent to get the win and counter the style of the boring fighter.

That being said though, guys like Islam, I think it's a bit OTT to carry on when you couldn't submit a guy you clearly have the ground advantage over. Same for the commentators throwing around GOAT discussions. Term gets thrown around way too much.

Just holding someone down with no attempt at submissions or ground and pound should not be encouraged. The same as holding the centre of the octagon with out having significant strikes shouldn't either

This holding on to your opponent to drown out a round/match and by doing so expose a loop hole in which the judges have no choice but to award you the round because of control/dominace......that's NOT Mix Martial Arts.
