Oh, um, someone can post Mark Robinson's take on the Yarran/Chapman incident here for posterity. Fits the bill.

Whateley's incredulity was amusing.
Pretty sure that was contrived so he didn't sound like a sooking Essendon supporter. The old good cop dumb cop routine.

Also from LPno1.
Couldn't that be done by just extending his contract by 1 season and not 3. That is covering you a bit. You can always re-do a contract next year if he comes back healthy.
Talking about Ablett. Do you really think Gary Ablett is going to accept a one year deal?

Absolutely it was.

But, like his insisting that Carlton players should in the return game of '12 try and rub out Jobe and avenge Carrazzo, he does to a degree that he'd never say these things about another club at all. Everyone knows he's an Essendon supporter... just row, row like RoRo and live with it, or be genuinely dispassionate about your club like Mike Sheahan. His version of it is just A-grade "methinks he doth protest too much" crap.

So frankly if Jamie Elliott comes to Richmond do not expect to make the firsts because whoever recruits him will be sacked by the time we get to the GF
Jamie Elliott wouldn't get into Richmond's best 22? How good does he think they are? Then he argued that he wouldn't get in because of Trent Cochin and Brett Deledio.

From Dickhead Barrett:

The demise of the once-feared Carlton organisation has been staggering. It was only 16 years ago it played in a Grand Final, 15 years ago that, had Anthony Koutoufides not broken down, it could have challenged for another flag.
Yeah nah.

Anything to try and subtly discredit Essendon eh, Damo?

No one was getting close to us that year. Yes, Carlton were the second best side that season but the gulf was still large. And, at the end of the day, Melbourne were in far better touch come finals time anyway. They were deserving grand finalists.

JJ was the person that Kouta clashed with
JJ played for EFC
EFC was captained by James Hird.

Kouta breaking down -> Hird's fault.

And there we have it, only 3 degrees of separation. I'm sure Barratt had that in mind when he penned the article.

I still think that Western Bulldogs were the second best side that year purely because they were able to beat us.
So... we were the second-best side of 2011?

brother, thine story is of puissant coolness

Not sure if serious, eth! The Dogs finished with 12 wins and 11 losses that year. Carlton finished with 17 and 8, Melbourne with 16 and 9...and so on.

Were we the moral premiers in 2011 because we were the only side Geelong didn't beat?
I just wanted to see if anyone would bite.

I bit.

I must say I did love that period where we could claim to be the only side Geelong hadn't beaten since 2010.
A bit like this year, we're the only side to have played Hawthorn and won.

The only side.

In the whole league.

It's on par with Dwayne Russell commenting on HOW THE INTENSITY HAS GONE UP A NOTCH...after the first goal of the game is kicked 80 seconds in.
Unlike Dwayne, my comment and the 2011 Geelong comment can not be denied. They are fact and that really pisses people off, despite us only saying it to get a rise out of them.

Geelong supporters are quite gracious about their little stat, I find. When you win the flag, I guess you can be.

Hawthorn supporters on here at least seemed to take that loss exceptionally hard on the whole, though. Not least Bosk.

Poor Bosk.

That last bit is in the right place ;)
