Why not remove Zerretts worst game or would stats tell a different story? Was about to respond to a Bomber on the main board who said JOM has been ordinary so far this year.....but instead thought I'd copy and paste it here instead.
I have some times on my hands, so...
If you remove the Suns game, where he played mostly forward, and look only to the full games he has played as a mid he has Averaged 16 contested possessions a game, which is 8 more than Jordan Lewis, and 7 more than Sam Mitchell so far this year.
Averaging 7 clearances a game, 1 less than each Selwood and Dangerfield, seen as the best inside mid combo in the comp.
Averaging 7 score involvements a game, which is 1 more than a certain young midfielder being spoken about as the Next Big Thing(who is pictured in this particular Bomber posters AV, for reference).
Averaging a disposal efficiency of 65% a game, 0.5% less than this NBT also.
And all this after a 2 year lay off....which clearly isn't ordinary, unless Merrett has been ordinary too?
Not wanting to make this a Merrett v JOM discussion as they are different players and all, but it's interesting that JOM's averages are similar in the games he has played this year, if not better than Merrett's(apart from total disposals), yet one is being discussed as 'ordinary' by people and the other has a thread discussing how he's the 'next big thing'.
JOM's biggest concern right now is getting back out on the park, but from what we've already seen his form was certainly not ordinary.

** Yes, I am on annual leave.
Better than Zerrett he is, delusional?
Love how people think stats are the king of all arguments.
