The MBD Leadership announcement.
The Mount Buller Demons would like to announce that club champion and now former captain Bomberlegend2007 has relinquished his duties as co-captain of the Demons. The news of his decision came as a shock to many demons, including co-captain EBIAC. In a statement to the team, Bomberlegend2007 had this to say:

"One thing I am sure about is moving on as skipper. I feel like I have let down the club in that remark. I would have loved to have done more, but with other things on, Co-Admin at the RFFL, school, footy ect. It was just too hard."

Rumours circulated that Bomber would look to be traded to the hawks at the mid-season trade period. However, he has denied the rumours and said he is commited to the dees for at least the rest of the season, in an attempt to win a flag with the team he loves so much. Bomber became co-captain last year, as EBIAC appointed him after the demons horror start to that year. This all followed club Legend Tarks standing down as captain.

The Mount Buller Demons Football Club would like to sincerely thank bomber for all his efforts as a leader of the club.

But, as one leader moved on, more leaders moved in. Short-lived sole captain EBIAC announced his intention to appoint a new co-captain to share the reigns. EBIAC selected a spiritual leader of the club and tackling machine TigerGlory. EBIAC had this to say:

"I don't believe that I can run this club by myself. All of the boys put in a great load of effort behind the scenes, but at the helm, I simply can't do it. So I sat down and thought who could not only help the club going forward the most, but help myself going forward. One name really stuck out to me, and that was TigerGlory."

Affectionately known as TG, Tigerglory has made his way up the ranks after a stellar 2008 season. He is known as an honest player who commits to the contest. Around the club, TG is a most active player.

The upgrade of TG from vice-captain to captain left the place of vice-captain vacant. The Demons would also like to announce a new VC, Headless. Headless' appointment comes as no suprise to his Demons teammates who respect him for his activity and positivity amongst the group.

So, after an eventful day at Demonland we have some major changes. Club captain EBIAC announced a leadership group at the start of the year, consisting of himself, TG, Headless, Okeydoke7, Roughie and Bomber. After the relinquishing of the role from Bomber, TG has been upgraded to captain and Headless to vice-captain. There is a chance that one more Demon could step up to take a final spot in the leadership group that remains free, any announcement on this will be made by EBIAC.

Thankyou Bomberlegend 2007, for all you have done for the demons. We hope we can get over the line this year!

In further news at the Demons, the 6 man leadership group has been reinstated with the inclusion of first year player Cooney. Cooney joined the Dees as a backman and his playing ability and posting ability is without rival. Congratulations to Cooney, a definate candidate for best first year player. :thumbsu:

Demons leadership group:

EddieBettsIsAChamp(C)
TigerGlory(c)
Headless(VC)
Okeydoke7
Roughie
Cooney

Along with this, a legend of the game is also with the Demons. For those that do not know yet, TFLUA-Tiger has chosen to sign on with the Dees to add some experience to a young list. Coupled with our strong leadership group and 3 wins on the trot, there are exciting times for the dees. Since TFLUA-Tiger has joined the club, we have won 3 in a row.

Well done boys who have been appointed, Cooney is looking a chance for an All SFA defensive position at the moment. Have to agree with the above from Rick though: Kerrby >> Okey.
Cooney has had a magnificent first year in a very difficult position. And until I have been around for long enough I will not come out and be saying I am better than anyone, Kerrby has been around for a lot longer, but is held back by disciplinary issues. I am just looking for consistant form, and doing my bit for the team. This leadership group will hopefully take us to a premiership over the next year or two, I will hopefully continually develop along with the other young players at the dees and we will be a powerhouse of the competition. I am looking, and have extended myself to the enire leage rather than just Demons stuff as per last year. I believe this will eventually lead to a rise in status, but more importantly I want the dees to rise in the ladder.

Players like Kerrby fire up the league and cause some controversey, which despite the adversity, is good for the league and the players within it.

Dude. Shut up. Please. The controversey and adversity as you put it aren't good for the league. They are the league.

So the controversey and adversity aren't good for the league? Yet they are the league. So if there was no controversey and adversity then there would be no league? Would this not make the controversey and adversity good for the league? Jeez you are like Robert Walls...You have retired, you are out of the game yet you still feel the need to present your flawed views on the game which often make no sense.
