This is where the NRL as it all over the AFL.

All transfers, no matter when they are fnalised are made public. No bullshit, no rumours, just get on with busness. The club can decide whether they play him or not.

Makes the whole process cleaner and far less acrimonious.

However living in Sydney the vast majority of NRL supporters don't like the current system and that a player can agree to a contract with a new club 12 months out and it is made public, it hen starts to raise a different set of questions on the player and his immediate commitment to his current club

These same supporters want change to the current system to be more like the AFL system in limiting the window to transfer and negotiate.

We have the ridiculous situation in the NRL where players are chasing clubs at any time throughout the regular season, itbis a BS system with litre controls

Depends who you talk to.

All the rumour, innuendo and, frankly, the bullshit is circumvented. It's a more mature way of going about it. You don't have players, player managers, clubs etc bullshitting, sidestepping, ducking and weaving and generally treating the supporters like idiots.

But to each their own.

Can you imagine it, us against Richmond again. The crowd is loud and the Tigers play their high pressure style. But then we adjust to it and start using precise kicking and fast ball movement to get past them. The boys play the best we've seen of them and the crowd, those who aren't our supporters, go quiet. They realise with dismay 2017 isn't happening again.

Accept for the fact that our game plan will change, as our, four fastest players are all up coming young talents whom all will play more seniors, we have quick line breakers that all want to play, menadue, markov, short, Bolton, all lightning quick and likely to improve us, premiers 2017,3 big finals wins.

Just a rumour that people keep repeating that they had a punch on in the rooms at half time of the GF, and Tex broke his hand punching Lever, which is why he had off-season hand surgery.

If that happened then I suspect TW would no longer be captain and possibly have had contract terminated.

I see that Jake Lie-ver was yet again telling more porkies to the media.

Apparently he's still sticking to his story that he didn't make a decision to leave Adelaide until after the grand final and was also banging on again about how he was supposedly denied the opportunity to "spend the B&F with his mates"

Seriously is this guy a pathological liar?

Everything that has come out of his mouth over the last 6-8 months has been complete and utter bullshit and yet despite being called out as a liar by people like Caro/Robbo etc he still continues to lie to try and cover up his actions by playing the victim card.

He got his trade to Melbourne, stop trying to clear your conscience and just move on. Someone needs to tell him to STFU and stop making s**t up by trying to pretend he's a victim because he's coming across as a massive flog.

I think the rumor was the other way around and Tex retaliated.
Pyke was to blame for playing lever. The moment lever was picked was the moment our flag was lost. For him to now say he made his mind up to leave after the grand final is ******* embarrassing. What a lying sack of s**t.

More mature system

The way the NRL handle contracts and player transfers is an absolute rabble, Hayne just got his coach sacked and is now just about to walk out on his contract, M Pearce has just walked out on his contract, 2 West Tiger players this year changed clubs mid season and the soap opera goes on an on

Believe me not many people in the NRL media or supporters like the current system and their is a big push to move more towards the AFL system

And I would bet anything, you would be one of the very first to call for Pyke head if he didn't play him and we lost the Grand Final.
