can anyone tell me why he didn't get much of a mention after the 2005 premiership win.

the talk was all about Barry Round and Paul kelly who[don't get me wrong] were both great [kells a LEGEND], but i reckon reckon Dennis captained the swans brilliantly in very very hard times in sydney.

i must admit it dissapointed me a lot.

did something go wrong somewhere ??

would love to know.

He was at the match and there is no issue between him and the club which he was a coach, chairman of selectors and board member up until about 5 years ago before he stood aside to focus on his personal businesses.

As for why there was no focus on him and Round and Kelly got all the focus, well Kelly was on official duties for the AFL handing the Cup to Roos and Hall, as well as being a serving Swans Board Member at the time, Round forced his way onto the ground to "enjoy the moment", unlike Bob Skilton who was part of the club party on the ground.

So Round kind of shouldn't of been there and Kelly and Skilton had AFL and Club duties/reasons to be there.

Short memory?

Carroll was Reserves coach in the nineties.
He was the Coach of the Reserves side that made the 1995 Reserves Grand Final and was favourite to take over from Barassi for a stage until it was clear that Carroll wanted to focus on his businesses.

Thus Rodney Eade got the job and Carroll went on to be Chairman of Selector's and then a member of the Board.
