Hahaha they were sum very funny comments made be dennis. It was a good game of cricket yesterday and i remember that when i was watching it when it straight away came back on air the camera was watching a train go passed and dennis said something like well looks like australia A is on the rails. He is just so clever and Funny.

I honestly dont mind eddie even though im a tiger he is kinda funny and knows the players names etc so it would be great.

All star:

Rex Hunt,Dennis Commetti,Bruce McAvaney(special) and i dunno i like sumone with a good voice but i always hear eddie saying the mercurial Brown and it sounds good so thats why i would leave him on.

Didn't hear Cometti do the cricket but love him doing the footy. His humour is fantastic, and so quick. Some one sent me a list of some of his comments and I'll include one below:

From a Melbourne v Collingwood game:
Healy: 'Word is this guy is the most reliable kick for goal in the side. They say down at Collingwood if you had to have someone kicking for your life, Tarkyn Lockyer would be the man'.
Commetti: 'I'd prefer my mum'.
(silence)
Commetti: 'Not a great footballer, but at least she'd care'.

One I loved was when Port's Josh Carr (#9) contested his brother Matthew (#9) playing for Fremantle.
'Two Carrs crash, both with the same rego number'.

And finally there was that thing in 2003 where he had a challenge to include various song titles in his commentary. That was very funny. Is there anyone from WA who can tell us more about that?
One that sticks in my mind was when McManus and Ackermanis were on each other: "...and the Manus brothers competing for the ball.":)

Re: the song titles, it was for a radio breakfast show, think it was 96fm...don't listen to it so that's all I can tell you.

It's bad enough having to hear him commentate on the footy, let alone the cricket. During the Aus A game he called the wrong batsman scoring runs for a full over. Thank god for the ABC.

Turn down the telly.
Turn up the radio.

At least the overseas ODI are on foxtel. The overseas commentators are ten times better than Channell 9.

He's not bad on the cricket I'd like to see him on Ch 9's A team rather than being consined to commentary with Brashaw and Julian.

He could easily replace O'Donnell in the hosting duties, O'Donnell is terrible and obviously reading a script.
Is it just me, or does O'Donnell sound like he's drunk half the time?
