Depression

****ing hell.

These are the sort of thoughts you get over by 19. Don't be so high school-nihilist. Yes of course good things have a used by date, but so too does everything. All things in life are fleeting. You have to accept that. That does not make good times irrelevant. You just have to latch onto the good things and use them as bait to get through work or the boring/painful things we all go through.

As for depression... this is just existentialism. It's healthy.

One good technique is physical activity. Literally releases all the negative energy out of you, all the thoughts just go away and you feel great after
Great call nothing like endorphins being spiked...great drug

I also find my dog helps me...so much better than humans, highly recommend getting an animal

I think you're confusing stress and depression.

Real depression is far from healthy in most cases.

Right you are.
Stress is very good for you actually....inspires and pushes people to be better, to achieve, to dream, to want.
Depression is the polar opposite of stress....inspires people to be anti-self, to cower and die, to kill dreams, to give up.
Quality post...very much different entities

You'll learn soon enough all my posts are quality :p

But I must say, I'm really liking your contributions around the place :thumbsu:
Judging by this thread you haven't let me down yet.;)

I just hope you find peace with this crazy ass world we live in bud

Confirmation Silent Alarm didn't have any psychology units in his degree.

Most say people who commit suicide are weak. Actually think about killing yourself, not in just one way, a soft way. Think of all the ways people have committed suicide, think about the strength and courage it actually takes to do that!

Definitely not weak and it takes a certain amount of courage, but it's not something to be admired or respected. All you're doing is passing your own pain off onto other people (friends, family or just the poor bastard who finds your body).

Yes you are correct, stress at times good but if it tips you over the edge then can lead to depression. having the right tools to overcome them is vital to help you through it. when you slowly start to overcome it you feel elation, you feel some sense of purpose.

Disagree. The human body is designed for small tiny incremental periods of stress.

Run away from a bear to kick the winning goal in a final.

Haul in a huge bison vs Get that big promotion to earn $$$ to buy food to eat.

Spear yourself in the thigh so some tribal war lord gives permission to marry his daughter vs first date jitters.

What the human body is not designed for is prolonged periods of stress. Cortisol actually acts with many other hormones in the body and its prolonged exposure can do very serious damage. Eventually if you become resistant to its effects and hence release more it can damage other pathways. I can very easily see how stress causes depression.

There's no right or wrong about judging suicide however you need to understand the why. The people that do go through with it do not have the same thought pattern that you stated. In their mind they might have summed up the grief that will affect their families and loved ones but they still think they will be better off in the long run if they go through with it.

It's a very hard subject to comprehend.

Btw, I've never attempted it. Never talk doomful in real life like I can do here (safety of anonymity). Never thought about it before until this year, when the bottom fell out. It'd just be something done once and for all, because a lot of the time suicide talkers talk a lot, need attention. Method of choice yet decided IF I should go that way.

Ripping post. The majority of the time it is attention and that attention needs to be paid, they are trying to reach out. The ones you really need to look for are the ones that don't want attention. They're the serious ones that are so hard to talk to.

My method is easy as im allergic to a very easy to obtain OTC tablet. But im passed it.

The way I SHOULD go out is death by vaginal suffocation...but I'd have to pay someone to do that willingly
LoL ....I think hookers like to be paid upfront.
