Does anyone else ever get the temptation to just pack everything up and go and start again somewhere else? The temptation for me is so strong right now.

I'm not really feeling depressed. I just want more than the current 9-5 drudgery and spending my weekends mowing my lawns and cleaning my house.

Doesn't help that a friend of mine packed up her life and moved to Thailand a couple of months ago. She posts on Facebook every day and seems to be having an awesome time. Makes it even more tempting.

Yep but I can’t leave my family, but I’ve certainly dreamt about just disappearing to a place where I won’t be judged.

The grass isn’t always greener my friend. And those that post on FB everyday showing a happy life… bet you a million bucks there is plenty of sadness or something there masked by what she shows the world

Social Media is all a front for us to be envious of others. The only times I’ve ever been able to get some semblance of balance and happiness in my life is when I disconnect from it all and make my world a lot smaller. I can be more present and focused on myself and do the work I need to.

Yeah I’m slowly ditching all social media. It’s all false!! If not lies! If you can’t make yourself happy then looking for it on social media is not gonna happen either!

I often followed some insta people and I would often wish I had that life but what is their life like off camera… bet it’s just as dull or boring and monotonous like everyone else’s without all the fancy clothes and make up.

I don’t post anymore on FB and stuff bc my mum got up me years ago that I over shared too much and it has stuck in the back of my mind since.

My family use what’s up for a family chat which works better!

But I find that I’m distancing my self more from social media forum however BF is now probs the worst. I’ve never spent so much time on any forum like I do with this.

In terms of SM I can only speak from experience, but I enjoy forums a lot more than algorithmic feeds that show me what they think I want to look at.

You can find your niche in a forum, especially one as broad as BF. If that makes you happy then don't question it.

I’d just pretend it was a compulsory training session that I had to attend but I tots get that. Meeting new peeps is kinda scary and especially when some of us might just want to be sad and have the need to just offload.
