Health Depression

Does anyone think depression passes down through genetics? Or upbringing? Or circumstance?
I just had a flashback I'm thinking and getting intto the same ridiculous thought patterns and feelings as when I was 7.
When really I've handled things fine and should tell the rest of the world to jam it.
I've always figured things out myself. My personality maybe ****ed but I can always work things out on my instincts

Yes but it’s hard work mate and you really have to want too. And you may go through utter hell to get to your end goal and you also may find hurdles and walls but its about not giving up… even the smallest goals are a win.

Maybe your mind set needs to be changed…. Negativity breeds negativity and if you’ve had that all your life then that also doesn’t help.

Please don’t think I’m sitting here preaching at you… just trying to help mate.

Genetics can be part of it. Upbringing, circumstances, wealth, experiences, the right support at key devt stages are all bigger factors imo.

Oh it’s real alright! And it comes when you least expect and can go as quick as that too with the right resources, medication and change of life styles etc.

I had a serotonin imbalance for a long while and I feel that smoking weed contributed a lot to that when I thought it was actually helping

Gotta say I have BIG empathy on this. 9 to 5 is not natural. It can be ridiculously hard for some people. Definitely never accept that it's just the way that things are. Living aside from it can take some creativity though because we're not encouraged to look elsewhere than the grind.
