And what happens if they send us packing from the finals?

I daresay the smug comments from them would be hard to bare.
we have nothing to lose. About a month ago people were saying we had put the cue in the rack and were tanking. Imagine knocking off last years grand finalists and sending them crashing out of september in the first week!

I said to ChampRevesby today, that if we bring our best footy, we can beat the purples and I reckon quite convincingly too.
Why stop at Fremantle? I'm sure in your head if you played your best footy every week you'd be a top 4 and a premiership chance.

Only 3 weeks ago you lost to Richmond at home. One of 15 losses in your last 23 at home, but yeah you'd beat us convincingly

Anyway whilst you're dreaming just think if you had won the 2 derbies you dominated in this year we'd both be sitting with 11 wins and in the 8.

BUT you didn't and you probably think you played terribly whilst we were absolutely on top of our game.

I love seeing the confidence back in the Eagles camp, keep getting those calculators out boys!

Played with it (ladder predictor) and we miss..
We'll see.
We finish either 7th or 10th based on this week's game i reckon.

I think the chances of a Derby final are remote as I think Freo will finish third. meaning the earliest we seem this is a prelim - which we won't make

OK for a start, I said IF we bring our best footy.

Did we against Richmond?
No
Did we against the Purples?
No
Have we for the majority of the year?
No

However, in Freo's current form in the last few weeks, losing to the Cats, only just getting home against Carltank and losing to the Saints and based on how we have come together, I reckon that we would absolutely beat the purples.

That's fair enough mate, especially on your own board.

Good luck for the season.

The calculator comment earlier did make me chuckle. Was some what creative despite going over the same old material.

Nah, that would just be an expected result then. The fact that we would have even made it to the second round of finals would be enough given our season to date.

If we finish 7th and win the first final then we would meet the loser of 2nd v 3rd in the second round which would likely be Freo if they finish 3rd as you predict.

However, going through the remaining games I can't see any way in hell of Freo finishing above 4th. It would take the Cats, Hawks or Swans losing in some pretty major upsets. Where we finish were we to win the remaining 3 games depends of if Adelaide win their next 3 or not. They should beat the Saints in the last round, but they have the Tigers and North before that. Both tough games.

So basically the most likely would probably be us in 7th and Freo in 4th. Meaning we could meet them in the Prelim if they win in the first round. If they lose the first round then the GF is the only way we could meet them. Our best chance of going deepest into the finals is probably to play Freo in the second week which would mean finishing 8th and beating Port in the first week.

Id rather finish 8th and play port.

At the end of the day - if we lost to your mob in a final - we would have come a lot further than we expected to this year anyway - we really would be over acheiving to win - so as dissapointing as a loss would be it would be no more than our season as a whole deserves.

If we somehow got up and won - well i think that would burn your mob a lot more than you beating us would burn us - you are supposed to be challenging for a premiership. I think your mob are good enough to go the whole way this year.

If you guys choked up against us and blew a whole year and a good chance of a flag..........

Lets just say you have a hell of a lot more to lose than us

Have a good one....
