Are we going anywhere atm as a club. We are currently an also ran who can scrap a win maybe once every 2nd home game.

We are non competitive team that is rudderless in attack. The commentators said this was the 8th loss of 50 pts or more in the season. Different if we were pushing teams into the last. But the majority of our games are over midway through the 2nd quarter.

Yes we have some injuries but Fyfe and blakely were there in 1st half of the year when we were getting flogged every 2 week. Sandi is 36 in december.

Some players cant hit a target 15m away with no pressure on them.

I just see no plan at the moment which is very frustrating.

I don't think you can draw too much from that game after the hit. Was happy to at least see some semblance of a forward line for pretty much the first time this year with Tabs, Cox, McCarthy, Matera and Walters + pressure forwards. That's the set-up (if not the personal themselves) that we should be holding for every single game.

Only thing I'll say is that I'm a little worried that our main deficiencies atm (lack of connection between the midfield/forward and general skill deficiencies all round) are exactly the same as when we challenged. I have to hope that we aren't going to get to the end of this rebuild with exactly the same short-comings that held us back before.

It went exactly as I thought.
For mine we did a hell of a lot well but what we did poorly were things that were just so crucial. Tearing through the middle only to have the kick into F50 go straight to the opposition. Dropping marks, missing tackles. All blokes going for the ball, leaving them outside.
Tabs dropping marks is a sign that we're looking for him and he's in the right spot. Just needs to go the next step and clunck 'em.
Why Matera goes anywhere outside 40m from goal is beyond me. He has goal sense. It's a rare unteachable commodity. It should be utilised.

Thought Matera was good today, but we so need him kicking crumbs from the spills that Tabs create. Matera could've got a few more, but he's so far up the ground he can't do much damage. Frustrating
