Derby win meaningless??

Nah no chance they took it lightly IMO. Fremantle played no better or worse than they have over the recent stretch. We were all over them.

As for it being meaningless. Not at all for us, it gives us a chance at top two. If it had been a dead rubber then maybe this article would not have been a shocker.

If we lose to both North and Port then we probably don't deserve a premiership to be honest. I don't think Freo tanked, they were going in all guns blazing in the fourth, but there were some strange decisions by old Rossco yesterday. Not starting our best mid fielders in the middle, and then subbing off Michael Barlow at half time - which has not happened for the rest of the season - was a little odd. Anyway, you guys were the better team and fully deserved to win.

Barlow had a stinker, thats probably more odd than the decision to give him the vest. Other guys werent using it well but if they are finding the footy you can encourage composure more than you can encourage someone to get a touch at all.

I think we put up a mammoth effort. Lycett's knee was apparently cooked for most of the game, Cripps got his head knocked off and didn't know his own name and Schoey was hurt. I think we stood up in the heat of the contest. Up yours freo.

Barlow had 4 disposals to half time so yeah a real mystery why he couldn't get a kick and was subbed out .Maybe injured? Or just shows how much sea gulling he does .

Killed my Ultimate Footy side, top 4 and out in straight sets in no small part to Barlow. Strangely enough I didn't care anywhere near as much given we beat those campaigners
