FTA-TV Derek - Ricky Gervais' new show

Just finished the first episode and incredibly unsure.

I actually thought Karl did alright, he's no actor but he pulls this off.

Ricky is just a little too uncomfortable for my liking. Brent and Millman were brilliant characters but Derek just seems a little overacted. Forced.

Gervais is better when he is playing a bit of a prick, and his too nice nice guy schtick reminds me too much of his US movie roles which just did not work.

I don't anticipate the next episode like I did with the Office and Extras.

Life's too short was terrible. Don't know if I really care about any upcoming Gervais projects unless it is a stand up show.
