I'd reckon Brisbane will hold onto him for 1 more year hoping that 2001 will be the year he grows up instead of becoming a sook like White and Rocca wanting to go 'home' even though all the 3 clubs moved their families to WA, NSW & QLD to keep them happy.
yeah I thought he was a great kid, but had the wrong attitude.
my comment about him disappearing without a trace just relates to what has happened with alot of 1st Draft picks.
They go to the club that drafted them, then after that they go to another club (usually the one they originally wanted to go to in the first place) then if they can handle it they develop into regular senior level players who go on and play 100 games, earn a pile and repay the investment put into them.
But most of them just disappear, I reckon Headland will be one of those guys.
I missed the first half an hour of the show but thought it was excellent. I started watching as the draft was beginning, when Rama's TV stuffed up just before it was about to start.
But please, I don't want to hear any news about No. 1 Draft Picks failing or wanting to go home. Especially when we have the first two picks and none of which are likely to be Victorian players.

Yeah its true he is looking for a trade next year and its looking like the dockers.
Considering we got 2nd pick that year we may as well have the 1st one as well. That plus last year will make us a force to be reckoned with in the future
