I started Destiny with friends I already had, making groups with them and their friends and then sometimes their friends again. Eventually the groups became mostly people I didn't know or like and then reading the Destiny thread here was like one of those Christmas movies where the douchebag character jealously watches families enjoy themselves through their window.

Should be good mate, couple of us are part of a massive clan that has players around the world, super inclusive and chilled and actually have 'coaches' to help with raids. Probably saved me chucking it in about a year ago.

Also use an app that makes it a lot easier than places like LFG to get something running, and no risk of getting dickheads.

Interested. I used LFG and a couple PS communities for a while after I moved on from my group but it was very hit and miss. Some weeks it would be great but generally it was a bunch of turds, and if you fell behind for any reason (like when I got knocked out with the actual proper flu for two weeks at the start of TTK) then good luck getting an invite to any PUG.

Ok so I've had a long break from D1 after completing everything the game had to offer before expansions hit and got bored of the game and never went back.

Now with D2 coming, is it worth me getting back into D1 purchasing all the DLC etc or just wait for D2?

I literally just got back into Destiny yesterday. Pretty good to get back into it even though my light level isn't near 400. Good thing is that vendors sell 380 and blue drops are up to 385. In about an hour I got from 370 to 382 with not much effort.

Should I give the nightfall a go? Or will it still be tough?

I literally just got back into Destiny yesterday. Pretty good to get back into it even though my light level isn't near 400. Good thing is that vendors sell 380 and blue drops are up to 385. In about an hour I got from 370 to 382 with not much effort.

Should I give the nightfall a go? Or will it still be tough?

The modifierd are fun but its the SIVA version of the Taniks strike so it will be tough on your own.

JB Hi Fi is selling the Destiny bundle, including all the DLCs, for $39 or as part of their 2 for $70 deal. I'm completely biased, as this is the game that I keep playing night after night, even though I've got other games to play, but given we're still five months away from Destiny 2, I think you'd get a fair amount out of Destiny.

I never played Halo (Destiny is my first FPS game since Quake II, back in the day).

At this point, the player population is the highest it has been for quite some time given the Age of Triumph has commenced.

A lot of us are PS4 players, so if you're on PS4, let us know your gamer tag and I'll at least shoot you a FR.

This week is mayhem Nightfall, so it's fairly tough given that Taniks' scorch cannon rotates between void, solar and arc and the adds all fire (you guessed it) void, solar and arc.

Can confirm. I've run more raids in the last few weeks than I have in the first couple of years playing this game thanks to the app Ryz is referring to.
