So I need a total of 70 Ascendant Shards to fully upgrade my character's defence across all of my armour pieces.

So far I have 5 of them in about 40 hours of play.

This is the brick wall I have just recently hit in 42 hours gameplay. I guess I'll just have to do raids. Oh wait, I can't because I don't have enough friends geared enough and on at the same time to do that. Looks like I'll have to resort to raiding with plebs from the matchmaker. Oh, about that....

Soooooo there is no real point playing PvP until you are level 20 and can buy better armour, love it when I punch a bloke and cant even get past his armour

Not true, the PvP is scaled back so gun and armour stats are balanced. They are bringing in a mode soon where these stats count.

I'll be trading this in for FIFA or maybe even Sniper Elite 3; at this point it is just not worth my time and effort, seriously, have just put in about 20 solid hours AFTER finsihing the story last week (and another 10 hours grinding after that), and the last few days for not much benefit. Still not enough Strange Coins, definitely not enough Motes of Light. Have put about 60-70 hours total into this game and I yhink I have experienced all they have to offer. Expansions or not, the formula won't change THAT much. I'm done with Destiny, too much bullshit, not enough fun. For the time I've put in the rewards have been non-existent.

How the **** can I be constantly one shot killed at close range by some ****ing hand gun that shoots like an auto riffle and one punched killed yet I cant do it the other way? I know im bad but **** me you would think I could fluke it at least once, and at least get the kill by sneaking up behind a bloke and pounding in his head but nope. I just put 2 sniper rifle shots into a guys chest and he still had half his health ffs.

Cant you buy weapons and armour just for the crucible? how does that work then or is that only for when they bring in these different modes?
I refuse to believe that armour is even atm with what I have experienced.

I can understand the grinding part, im only level 16 and just hit Mars and it's starting to grind for me so I can only imagine people that have put in double what I have. It just seems to rehash running down a cave to finish a mission, to be sent to the next mission that is just a bit further down the cave you just finished with a boss that takes a little longer to kill, I don't mind it if im doing it co-op but by yourself is a bit meh.

I'm tempted to dismantle my hunters exotic body, should net me few.

PvP is great fun, it's not for everyone though.

Added. Might be on a bit later. Gave it a go. It's bloody tough! Level 24, 25 and 21. Couldn't do it

My K/D on clash is 2.6. It's your overall K/D that matters

Kills count in clash so KD matters

Kills count in Control as well. So K/D is semi relevant there.

I cap a lot of flags so I almost balance out evens there.
