I can't see why they wouldn't want people to know unless they had no plans on incorporating it.

Bungie have had split screen co-op in every single Halo Game and here they are developing a ripoff of Borderlands, another game that boasts a great split screen mode because the game's developed entirely around Co-Op. How the **** can you not have split screen with all that in mind?

****ing hell I hate the gaming community; they're all a bunch of losers obsessed with online play, and as a result, all these developers aren't even bothering with split screen.

Got an email about this. What does this entail? If I get it and dload the Alpha version am I obligated to do anything like provide feedback?

Got an alpha test code. Out tonight but looking forward to playing the alpha over the weekend
 
I got a code but i dont recall doing anything for it?
Anyway im happy i did because what i have seen so far hasn't sold me on it and it will be good to get some gameplay in to see what the hype has been about.

Well, after playing the Alpha I've got from a must purchase, to a not sure now.

My main issue comes the moment you enter gameplay. The movement is horrendously slow. The run feels like a 1km/h speed boost, and the turning circle is effectively the same as a truck.

I rarely have to bump up control sensitivity, but instantly put this up to 10 and even then it only felt where it should've started at. Movement and slow movement isn't generally something I worry about in games, but this just felt terrible that it was frustrating to continue playing.

AI is another issue at the moment. Maybe it's just due to the early levels, but I feel that'd be a fairly easy excuse to put on what is some pretty dopey AI. They do the basics for the most part, take cover, run away, rush, etc. But none of it feels dynamic, and the amount of times an enemy was right in front of me and still in 'cover' was getting to a worryingly high number.

The last issue, which I simply do not understand why it's there. Is the menu cursor, it basically acts as a mouse cursor and I do not understand the choice. It just adds unnecessary actions to get to where you want in a menu. Everything is just made clunkier by virtue of it being there and if this makes it into the final version of the game I will be astounded.

On the plus side, the game looks great and sounds even better. There's also a really nice 'horror' type of feel to the latter stage of the first mission.

So at the end of it all, I'm really not sure what to think. The feel of the game is straight from Borderlands, which I love. But the actual gameplay leaves a bit to be desired right now. Going to have to see how the beta goes next month, otherwise this is looking tentative for me.

Assume you have never played Halo? Destiny plays like Halo, in fact it plays a little quicker than Halo
