Raids look awesome. Looks like I need some more friends. Chucking my PSN name up in the ID thread. I'll be rolling a lock for PvE. Former UO/WoW/SWToR raider here that doesn't stand in fire and understands min/maxing, looking for some mature friends (PS4) to team up with and seriously smash into raids and end game content.

Interesting. If I can't just join 5 randoms to do a raid im gonna not get this. I don't have the time for organised raiding. I can't adhere to set time frames. If I get a spare 3 hours I wanna raid then and not have to wait for 5 friends. Seriously a deal breaker for me if true.
 
If you look at WoW for an example raiding wise, its widely accepted that the Looking for Raid service has made end game content meaningless. If the fact that raids are gated that you cant just join up with randoms and have to actually work to form a group of players and work together im happy for that to happen IF the content is then challenging enough.
I think they have stated that raiding wont be for everyone, its there hard endgame and they want to keep it for those who are dedicated to attempting content with an organised group. If they made it so any bunch of randoms could join up and do it, that removes some of the challenge.

I'm sure that the BigFooty crew will be fine with this.

Can see a Destiny Raid thread here for just that - a little organisation for a lot of fun.

I can't wait for the raiding to begin.

Yeah im hoping a couple more of my mates get it to make finding a group easier, we are at 4 currently. Used to play WoW together back in the day so hoping these can give us the same challenge we used to have. (by no means hardcore raiders but we arent totally inept :P)

I am with you on this, I dont get set times I can just put aside for this kind of organised stuff. In the Beta I did the 3 man mission which was great fun, but I could because it just matched me up. Bit disappointing to not be able to fully do a game for that reason..

If like the Beta you will just be able to go to the tower and join a fireteam ;)

I don't see why that won't be available for the general missions... The need for actual friends is only for Raids as far as I can see.

Google searches aren't helping me find anything but plenty of gamefaq and reddit questions asking the same thing. Does anyone recall reading anywhere if raids will have a lock out period or ID to continue on later? Read that it took a 'top guild' 14 hours to clear Vault of Glass, but I imagine it would be much shorter once on farm.
 
Started really hyped for this game, and the beta had my hopes high. Everything that has come out since the beta though has dissapointed me to the point where I don't even know if I want it anymore.

Yeah sure they'll be adding more content, but how much are they going to want us to pay for it :rolleyes:

Im sure the game will be fun mate... Try not to over analyise before it comes out...biggest mistake these days is gamers playing the game through their head before it comes out IMO
