I don't think we have repeated it nearly as many times as the game repeats gameplay.

Again if you don't like the fact that not everyone shares your opinion on the game go and make a PM and invite your friends and you can all talk about how excellent the game is until you explode with delight.

I don't have any problems with people who don't like the game.

However, when said people have absolutely nothing new or remotely intelligent to add, which most certainly applies to you, it can get somewhat annoying i suppose.

I have no anger over the game. It didn't cost me a single cent to buy it so I didn't lose any money. I might have gotten a tad angry if I spent my own money on it.

I actually can't call the game overrated as the reviews for the game are pretty spot on. It's not getting very good reviews at all.

Reminds me of the Titanfall hype.

Honestly getting a bit burnt out with the game.

I've done everything I can. Played all the missions, all the strikes and the PvP hasn't been that great. I don't myself paying for any of the expansions either.

At this rate I might trade it in towards a new game.

If the two biggest issue with a game is repetitiveness and being overhyped then of course you will see it often from people unhappy with the product when it becomes the discussion point. It's not rocket science you special little guy.

I hear that it has a weak story and couldn't agree more on that one, but all FPS are to me is equip yourself with a couple of weapons (usually handgun, shotgun, some form of machine gun and rocket launcher.... not a gun expert) then go out and kill stuff. This game to me has more variety than a Battlefield does because of the leveling and because of the gear and slightly different classes. I sold Battlefield 4 after a month or so, don't think I'll be selling this.

I get the feeling if Destiny wasn't released in such a dull period of releases there wouldn't be nearly as many people zealously trying to defend it. As it stands, hasn't been much else released for the new consoles of note so people are more easily content as they just want something to play.

I'm really enjoying parts of the game, but I don't see the need to zealously defend it. Mainly because most of the complaints that people are throwing at it are very valid issues or concerns.

The sum of its parts do not make for the game everyone wanted. But I still enjoy the gunplay, because it does reminds me of Halo and I haven't played a Halo game since Halo 3 in about 6-7 years.

I see the game as being very similar to Borderlands but more compact. I personally don't think the planets are big enough for exploration.

It may even me the genre for me, I love Borderlands 1 but felt number two was a chore. I'm a sucker for games with leveling up and finding weapons and armour as well.

I'm generally not a big FPS/multiplayer shooter or MMO fan but I love the gunplay and team aspects of Destiny - having a heap of fun with it and I absolutely love the look and feel of the game - it looks stunning on the ps4.

The complaints about an ordinary story line and being repetitive are valid but for me the multi player fun factor far outweighs those negatives.

I hope that it is a true ten year title that does see changes and more variety added over time.

I have no problems with people finding it repetitive, I do have problems with repeating said complaints over & over again, as you have. Also, saying a game is worse because it did not live up to your expectations is laughable; not saying it bothers me, it's something new after all, however it's really stupid.

Don't let that stop you from another craze-induced personal attack though. You seem to be more interested in those than an even remotely intelligent discussion.

Another minor annoyance i have is that you can't preview Emblems or Shaders before purchasing. This game is full of annoying little things.

I appreciate the negative and positive comments.

As someone without the game weighing up whether to buy or not, it's good to get both sides of the story, even if it's the same issues being repeated, it just reinforces that the issues aren't isolated.

Hearing what people like helps to understand if those benefits outweigh the negatives - they don't.

So instead I'll get through my backlog of ps3 games and save my money.

Its odd that the game has hooked some so very hard and others it has repelled almost as strongly.

I dont think its a perfect game (does one exist?) but i can see it for what it is, and that is a platform to build on (yes a platform that is worth the $70 I paid). People complain about a hollow story and compare it to Halo. Halo’s story was fairly simple if you only look at the first game. When you look at them as a trilogy and try and read into it that universe just explodes.
Destiny I feel they tried to do something similar, may have overdone the mystery a bit, and the fact a lot of the lore is hidden away on cards you can only read on your phone or computer hurts the game for the general player I believe, but the bones are there, with the criticism coming (yes warranted in some respects but I wouldn’t say blinding hatred is needed, thankfully there has been little of that) I think they have a goal to aim for with their content updates.

I don’t really get the whole overhyped thing personally. Any game ive ever been hyped about I do my research on and learn about the game before it comes out. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to go anywhere I felt like, I knew the main story would only take a day or so to complete (most shooters are the same).
I accepted those –for lack of a better word – faults and got excited about things like, loot hunting, RpG elements, and multiplayer that I hadn’t seen since the Halo games. If you allow yourself to get so hyped by a game that you are blinded by it and then inevitably let down that is only on you. The information was there you should have done the research, no Bungie did not lie, an intelligent consumer doesn’t buy anything without doing the research.

I think the repetition of some of the “objectives” can get tiresome but I don’t play games that often, so if I jump on for an hour or two a night and run 1 strike, play a couple games of each pvp mode and doe the heroic story for the day this game will last me a long time. I guess if you play for 6-7 hours a day and burn through content it would be very easy to get bored.
But maybe this game isn’t for those that want to do that? Id be interested to see if anyone here who doesn’t like the repetitive nature of this game enjoyed Diablo games? Im a fairly big fan of those and a lot of that is doing the same farming in the same areas, it’s the loot that is the hook. I think destiny appeals to that crowd maybe? The problem being that many from the FPS crowd don’t like those sorts of games. Just my 2 cents

I'm not sure what people were expecting. As a FPS, its no more repetitive than COD or Battlefield that people jizz all over, and the co-op MMO elements as well as the upgrades add even more enjoyment to it. Love the game. It's not perfect, but I honestly couldn't give two shits about 'story' in a game such as this. Story is secondary to gameplay, and the gameplay for this is awesome. Just my 2 cents anyway.
