Finally get enough vanguard points... Need level 2 to buy the item

Oh well at least I have 11 strange coins now so hopefully I see that salesman if he ever appears

Should be able to get to level 2-3 tonight after work

yeah that's no good. They're no guarantees anyway. I farmed for 2 hours last night. Got 3 purples and about 10-12 blues. The purples turned into:

  • Strange coins
  • Ascendent Energy
  • Mote of light
And I got a purple for going level 3 to 4 from the Cryptarch, for which I received a purple letter, which contained 2 blue engrams, which turned into:

  • Ascendent Shard
  • Ascendent Energy

Is it too much to ask for some ****ing awesome weapons? The other blues were alright, I now have no green primary or heavy weapons, however I can't seem to get anything decent in special weapons. I have a Rare fusion rifle, but my sniper, and shotgun are just maxed out greens.

What I want to know and will have to find out, is how many coins/motes/shards etc do you need to buy decent shit from Xur?

Currently I have:

  • 4 x Ascendent Energy
  • 6 x Ascendent Shard
  • 4 x Strange Coin
  • 7 x Mote of Light

Before I waste my day googling this shit at work does anyone have a rough idea of what you might need to get good shit, ie weapons and armour, **** the telemetry shit

Edit: 17 Strange Coins for Rocket Launcher. 17 Motes for armour. Aargh

Vanguard points. Forgot about them. I can't find that on the app. **** me I wonder how much grinding vanguard points I need to do before spending any of my shard/energy/coin/motes

By memory I needed 13 strange coins for an exotic helmet from Xur. Was one short and when I got the 13th coin the campaigner left on Sunday night.
Weapons were 23 strange coins the same as an exotic engram. LOL get ****ed Xur I ain't buyin an exotic engram. Crafty bugger.

Easier than crucible points, just need to do the bounties and public events.

Queen wrath missions are easy to complete so that'll be interesting in what you get.

yeah I grabbed some queen bounties last night but didn't do them, just farmed.

Man, **** work and **** family and **** real life. I just want to play Destiny

You need to go to the vendors in the tower to find your rank - has a number in a circle and a bar that moves around that shows how far off the next vanguard/Crucible/faction level

That reload stat is perfect for the magic loot cave, trying to do it solo with my old blue rifle was frustrating due to its lower clip and awful reload.

My cryptarch level is 9 and I still got the same crap. 3 legenderay engrams after levelling him turned into blue rubbish. 3 legendaries I got from farming the cave turned into Mote of Lights, Strange Coin, and a Blue Weapon worse than the gun I was using at Level 16. It's a joke.
