We've been pretty tight lipped, who's to say there isn't a chance we're trading out players.
It's all just speculative at the moment, i highly doubt Smith will choose Collingwood because his player manager will be an employee there.
Nobody is that short sighted.
But for what it's worth, Wells will finish up after next year, Sidebottom should move to half forward, i don't think there is an issue accomodating him in the midfield.
We don't even know how much midfield time he wants?
50/50, could be split between him and DeGoey.
Anyways, i still think Carlton are the front runners for his services.

He said Collingwood were interested, not that Devon was interested in Collingwood.
All i am saying is Smith won't choose Collingwood purely because his former player manager will be the list manager.
It's not an advantage for us.

I took it the Other Way that give us Advantage that he is going to be our new list manager. Have someone there he knows and trusts

A list manager is just a cog in a wheel at a football club.
Ultimately it is going to come down to the following factors:
Money
Opportunity
Injury management (which Guy stated)
Compared to Essendon, Carlton and St Kilda.
We wouldn't have as much money to throw around
We can't offer him as much midfield time as all 3 clubs
Our injury management certainly is an area of concern as you would be aware.

Though Smith is very Close to Taylor Adams and we used that last season to get WHE.
We getting new Fitness Staff so depends on how they view the new people we bring in for that Job.
Money be Roughly the Same.
Though Carlton give him the most Opportunity to play in the Midfield that he wants

Would imagine Green loses his spot, Smith and Stringer become rotating mid's/fwd's (like a lot of our team really)
All 3 clubs a decent chance.
Stringer looks like he's only getting a small contract as it is. So we should have quite a bit of cash to use.
Jaeger cash still in the bank. Cap increase. Watson & Stanton retiring, plus some others.
Daniher signing on for 2m over 3 helped too.

I fairly sure Dev Smith a closer mate with Jeremy Cameron but it is not stopping him leaving.
