Pretty good don't you think?
I do love the trade period entertainment.Essendon haven’t addressed a single issue there team has at all. Stringer and smith aren’t exactly tough grunt mids
Im sure if there was a big bodied mid out there, uncontracted thats fits our age profile we would be all over him. Unfortunately there isn't. So why not go for the best available? Smith is a massive upgrade on Green and Stringer fits in nicely could potentially release fantasia up on a wing to replace Colyer.Heppell does not play strong. Goddard has already retired to the back flank. Langford is a flanker. Laverde is a flanker. Stringer is a flanker.
Just find it strange how list management came up with Stringer and Smith as needs. Seems like trading for trading sake.
Yep. Adrian is Mr October.
Mr September?....not so much![]()
I just don’t see why you’d pay a fairly significant amount for both stringer and smith who play similar roles. One would have been perfect and then just wait until a Inside mid comes on the market. But there aren't any grunt mids available.

I’m pretty sure it’s a case of improve what you can when the opportunity presents itself.Would you prefer Green and Colyer or Stringer and Smith?
I’ll put it this way. When you already have a great forward line and get eliminated and smashed week 1 of finals and bullied on the inside to your midfielders. Adding 1 forward is fine but adding 2 on large coin doesn’t address the problems that you had to begin with. Your forward line is already goodI do love the trade period entertainment.
Remarkable, that you can literally upgrade several positions in your team, yet still get criticised for not "addressing needs".
And for some reason, the very same people who make these comments always seem to fail to point out exactly who the Bombers should be getting instead, out of who is available.
Invariably, they are also the same people who have previously dined out extensively on EFC failing to bring in any talent and develop their own.
North took the cake this year with "cant attract players"Me to.
Its gone from "Lol Essendon can't attract players" to "Lol Essendon can't attract the right players."
I’d prefer colyer and smith while saving the 600k stringer will get to put towards an inside midfielder with less baggageWould you prefer Green and Colyer or Stringer and Smith?

"just wait".Would you prefer Green and Colyer or Stringer and Smith?
Fair call, though Rockliff or Kennedy should have been on your radar big time.I do love the trade period entertainment.
