NO CAREY NO NORTH - What a fanciful quote that was. It should read NO MICKY MARTYN NO NORTH. This Champion fuulback is obviously the backbone of the club and the backbone of our defence. Sure the condition weren't great yesterday, but our defensive pattern looked so much better with Micky in control. Even when Mensch or White took him up the ground, he still dominated his player and was that a shot at goal in the third quarter?

Parramatta Coach Bryan Smith has given Jason Taylor the extra duty of taking young PJ Marsh under his wing and teaching him some of the in and outs of halfback play, something that has already had positive results on the field. It maybe a good idea if Micky does this with Shannon Watt and Adam Lange. Anything he can teach them can only benifit them as players and the club.

My current jumper has the number 4 on the back so I hope he plays a few more season, but even if this is his last he'll go down as a champion player for the club and one the great fullback in the history of the game.

Long Live Micky Martyn, and congratulations on such a fantastic return yesterday.

He was fantastic yesterday! White hardly had a kick with Micky standing him nearly all day.
It's great to have Micky back, and let's just jope he stays free of injury.

Loved seeing Micky putting the body about and generally scaring the bejeezus out of any Geelong player nearby.

Gotta admit, I didn't think Mick would come back so strongly, but to see him doing all the stuff we love.....sheer f*cking bliss....
