Anyone know if there is or are thay making a series 3?
confirmed. It has been announced and confirmed by the Showtime president. They said it will air by the end of the year and October is the scheduled air time in the US.
THE best show on television. The finale was fantastic. Keep up the good work.

So it really is that good? The lead actor was in Six Feet Under and was amazing in that, so I was excited when I first heard about this show. I just never got around to seeing it.

Time to start downloading:)

Congratulations on your first steps Akkuret :)

Awesome, though I will admit SPOILER
(Highlight) It did seem to end a little too cleanly for my liking... Would have been interesting if Lila had not become a victim
END SPOILER

Good ep none the less

Nah, great ending, you have to remember with a show like Dexter that is funded by a singular channel(US SHOWTIME), it is done on a season to season basis, so they really have to make sure that the show's loose ends are tied, but there is also enough room to continue.

That being said if you look at the shows from US SHOWTIME they are all quality, but usually have a poor viewer rate and get cut down way too early.

BTW this next spoiler isn't in response to your comment Zarko, just my add on -
The choice of killing off Doakes might have been a dissapointing or stupid decision, but we have to remember that we wouldn't have had those great moment when Dex and him were facing off in the cage, and unfortunatly it was the only way the show could go on, it was him or Dex.

Showtime is owned by CBS though. So hardly up the stick money wise, but if the ratings suck, like anything else, it will get canned.

Best show to hit the small screen in a long, long while, compelling viewing.
No mean feat to make a guy who butchers people completely likable but they've managed to do so, mainly through Hall's performance, and the fact that despite his one "small" vice he's basically a decent, caring person; his relationship with Rita and her kids is one of the shows strengths.

Excellent writing and a superb cast of characters, took a little time to warm to Deb but now she's a firm favourite, intense "cliffhanger" plot-line, excellent villains, with Lila one of the scariest characters ever [ great performance from Jaime Murray ] an all to rare gem in a sea of dross, roll on season three ......... and four, five etc. etc. :thumbsu:

Great Show, finished watching Series 2 before series 1 even started in Australia, so waiting patiently for season 3.

Apparently the 2nd season wasn't based on the 2nd book, the first season was based on the first book though.

Just finished watching this wicked show. Can't wait for Season 3.

This scene from late in Season 2 is probably my favourite...

Dexter "tells" Deb that he's the Bay Harbor Butcher :p

You reckon?

For those who haven't seen it, its coming to Ten on July 6.

Cracking show - I'm midway through season two. No doubt it will probably get canned from Ten we we get the inevitable boofheads complaining that it condones serial killing.
