I believe it is this year. We rookie them & they sit on our list for a year. Then consider to upgrade in 2017 subject to their fitness, attitude & our list needs for 2017.
No promises beyond next year I assume.
It's a big call by the club.

Grant is actually a decent mobile forward. He isnt small but pretty decent front and centre type

Thats what i thought too. I wouldnt pull the trigger on upgrading them after next year. Keep them as rookies for 2 years. Can always upgrade them as needed (there will always be injuries)

Interesting and awkward player. I don't think he's a spud but he isn't top 22 either. But with the abolition of the sub rule he can play a real utility role

Mitch Harvey or Mason Shaw from Port, or Spencer White from St Kilda. All have had issues but getting delisted might be just the kick up the arse they need to turn it around. All KPP types and 1 added for depth would be handy unless there is a prospect we are looking at for late in the draft.

Didn't see Grant getting delisted, must be some behind the scenes issues with him. Similar player type to Watts in a lot of ways but maybe getting delisted is just the kick up the butt he needs.

Adcock by far the best of he options available. Proven leader, beautiful kick of the footy, versatile. He'll accelerate the development of those in the VFL squad and be able to fill-in in multiple roles in the seniors at short notice.

I also think we should re-select Sam Dwyer. He's another beautiful user of the footy and perfect depth player. I think we cut him prematurely and given how far our draft picks have slid (other than our one 2nd rounder) he's more useful than anything that we'll find at the back end of the draft. Besides, we have more than enough youth in development already.
