I hope he can full through.
What a great man for getting our Club back on track & for all the many good things he has done for the community.

As I posted on the CFC Website (you can post messages to the Pratt family)

Thank you for all that you have done for the Mighty Carlton Football Club.
you have brought back Hope, Pride & the strut that the Carlton of old once had.
Now it is time for the boys to bring some passion for the jumper & play the game with as much love & pride & spirit that you have shown.

Good luck Mr Pratt and best wishes to your family,
We will all be thinking of you

That's why I like you all so much ... you're as perverse as me.

Gilly, Thy, guns ... that is perverse, not perverted. Nothing to see here.
ODN not sure what you refer to
twice in a month I am rocked to my core
ODN leaves
Pratty crook as
I am very down

I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the news.

To know that the bloke who saved this club from bankruptcy is about to pass on... it just really hits hard. I'm not sure that Pratty understands how much what he has done for this club means to all of us.

Fight like a Blue, Pratty.

Can anyone make an appropriate avatar that we can all uniformly switch to during this vigil?
That'd be really great if someone could make one.

It's crazy. I never thought that I'd miss a bloke I never met, especially when he's still with us.

Best wishes to Dick and his family during this time. The Carlton football club was very lucky to have someone like Dick Pratt. He may have contributed a lot financially, but without knowing the goings on at other clubs, he also seemed to do so much more than just give money.

Football is lucky to have people such as this, willing to help the game. Again my thoughts are with the family and the football club.

Cheers, mate. It's nice to see a kind hearted post about Pratt after all of the abuse he gets from opposition supporters. :thumbsu:

Our club has been fortunate to have a lot of great people associated with it, but what Richard Pratt did for our club in its time of greatest need puts him in a league of his own.

What can one say about a person who in a short space of time returned our club off-field to the strength which so many of us had taken for granted during the good years? Swann, Icke, Cordy, Harris are just some of those off-field club employees who are at our club because of Pratt.

To know that our club will once again have facilities to rival the best in the competition, because of Pratt's generosity & his 'can do' attitude, gives such a feeling of confidence for on-field success in the near future. Every little 'building block' that is being put in place at our club is being done so with a view to long-term success both on & off the field. Yet just over 2 years ago this sort of foundation seemed to be light years away.

Thank you Richard Pratt for starting the process to deliver our beloved club back to its rightful place at the top end of the ladder. When our 17th premiership flag is delivered to Visy Park, it will be your greatest legacy to our club.

I disagree that he started it - we all had a hand in that
But he was a diamond in the rough

This is terribly sad :(
I still remember the day I walked in the front door and my Dad said, 'things are gonna turn around at the blues, we just landed Dick Pratt!, this man is power!'...
One of australia's best and most respected, in business and just in the way he went about his life..
He delivered so much to so many, and brought this proud club of ours back from it's darkest pages in history...
He will go down in the history of the CFC as a saviour!
We will play for him this sunday, we will play for him this entire season, and when we finally hold that 17th cup aloft, it'll be for Dick!

My deepest sympathies to his family at this time.

Thanks Dick, cheers mate
