Show he has the most upside of any draftee taken in 2005?

Given the importance of yesterday, this was without question, the best performance by a draftee taken in that draft.

If Thomas continues this upward movement, he will be without doubt, the best player taken out of that draft.

Pendlebury's against Geelong was probably equal to it

I must admit, I like the way he goes about it.

He's not the amazingly gifted, show-pony he was regularly reported as in his first season or so. Instead he does most things well, and (despite some disposal issues) generally makes good decisions.

I said at one point in the game how much he reminded me of Xavier Ellis' 2008 GF game - always seeming to be in the right spot for the spoil/knock-on/tackle/etc. Not so much the eye-catching stuff, but just doing the right thing consistently, and affecting the contest.

I actually thought he was the best Collingwood player on the day (ahead of Maxwell and Brown who I thought was superb), and probably 3rd overall (behind Goddard and Hayes).

Hmmmmm

From what I saw in the TAC GF that year he was awesome then. He's still awesome today.
He's got plenty of room for improvement so he will get better and better.

I don't see him getting much better to be honest- don't get me wrong he is a very good player. Whereas others have "more room to grow". For one I reckon Pendles will be better.

I thought the question would be 'scope to grow a sack?'

Because he certainly has. Looks like Jane plays like Tarzan line seem appropriate.
If you genuinely believe that he had to grow one then you know absolutely nothing about the game.

One thing Thomas has never lacked is courage.
