Surely not. I suppose tis a chance, but I woulve thought McL was just what you blokes were looking for rather than a rebounding half back (albeit a damn good one).

I reckon McG will be the better player personally, so I see some wisdom in it though.

Surely it's just recalibration? I'm in favour of the expansion clubs but it's pretty apparent now that the concessions were too generous. Not hugely, but by about 20-30%. And GWS have done a fantastic job of capitalising on that. (As shown by the comparison with GC.)

So the rule changes are really just redressing the balance.
