Oh, I absolutely agree. If the club made the decision that Ken wasn't their guy then it was absolutely stupid to keep him on for the year.
If they thought Carr needed to be under Ken for another year, then Carr isn't the right choice.

Move him on and get the new coach in 12 months earlier.
