It all went wrong when Hinkley started to overpay for missing pieces, funnily the trade Port Power didn't overpay was for a contracted JHF because West Coast and GWS accept unders as part of their trade.

that team was just like all Hinkley teams had some high top end talent but tailed away pretty badly with player 17-22.

unfortunately that running game we played that year didn't survive 2015. And yeah they choked a few goals but players make mistakes.

yeah I agree but to be fair there was apparently a friend of a 2 game Port player who got on the Port BF page a few years back and pointed out what it was like being a list player under Kenneth and it didn't sound good. So it might not be list managements problem but certainly we have traded for the missing link BADLY.

Their reserves made the SANFL grand final in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Finals in 2015 and 2023. Yep their reserve level performances have dropped away the past 3-4 years for a multitude of reasons (take a peek at their current list of assistants/development coaches), but let's not make too many excuses for poor old Kenny.

Outperformed. Port had tarps up and people were making videos about them struggling to beat the bye when he became coach. Took them to consistent finals appearances and transformed port into a strong and respected club.

Also the teeth lolly’s gag was good stuff from Kenny to keep the mood light. Kenny a great man manager.

I think he's actually a really great coach.

Very high win rate, had his teams in finals consistently, and had a few very real chances to win it all.

Really good with development. Not afraid to move the magnets to try and save careers or improve the team.

If he's serious about coaching then Tassie should absolutely go after him. I'd take him before Longmire TBH.

It isn't like they just stuck into finals. Multiple top 4 finishes. If they're managing that it means the list is good enough.

After a decade it's his list anyway really so whichever is your view he's fallen short.
