I was watching the replay of the Swans game on pay tv a moment ago and I could have sworn that during the final quater a section of the crowd was singing "You'll never walk alone" - The official Liverpool team song.

WTF??

I thought so too. Thought I was hearing things.

As a Liverpool fan, I really hope it doesn't catch on. No-one does YNWA like the fans at Anfield, and it sounds a little bit embarrassing when someone tries to copy it, which is bad enough, and then butchers it.

BTW, congrats on the win. You guys look good this year, and it's nice to see your young fellas doing well.

"But you've got no kids"

I also follow Liverpool, started following them when I was 10 and I thought it was a Swan on their badge. One of the things I wanna do before I die is go to a big match at Anfield and hear YNWA.

I started following them when I was about 13-14 because they wore red - at the time little did I realise about 4 other teams in the EPL did as well but I stand by my choice. :D

Was stoked to hear it on the replay (couldnt hear it @ the game though. Im a massive Liverpool fan, so is my dad and he has been hoping that Swans fans would adopt "you'll never walk alone" for ages. Hope it really takes off, would be great to hear a full house @ the SCG singing it :thumbsu::)

What end of the ground? I know there was a big WC mob behind the Northen end of the sticks, but that's only because I heard them.

Oh, and I have a guy sitting about two seats next to me who gets p*ss drunk before every game. Said some of the most classic lines you could hear at the footy :thumbsu::D

They were sitting just to the right of the Eagles' Interchange bench.

I've seen Collingwood fans hold up 'You'll never walk alone' signs and seen it printed on black and white scarves which a couple held up like they were at the soccer.

Just a chessy rip off if you ask me.

Hilarious, i hope that sort of stuff comes into AFL footy.

I heard this great one about a handicapped kid being beaten up because he was wearing the wrong scarf.

Equally as erudite and well considered.

Thanks for the great post

We don't go out looking for handicapped enemy supporters. We just like to make the able-bodied ones less so.
