Did Lynch and Akermanis get booed?

When i was watching the Medal presentation thing yesterday, i could have sworn that Lynch and Akermanis were booed, if they were, can someone tell me why?

some c'wood supporters did, but I didn't. in fact, I applauded michael voss when he got up on the podium.

I don't think I booed anyone during the presentation. I was too emotionally spent and there was just no point in negativity.

In fact, I applauded the whole Brisbane team as they went past on the lap of honour. Even Lynch and "Moneybags" Michael, both of whom I despise. I just wasn't in the mood to bag anybody. I'd had a wonderful day, with a sad ending.

Having since read Akermanis's pack of lies about the umpiring I wish I could retract my applause for him. That insensitive clod needs to learn the meaning of humility.

There's an old saying, "be humble ... or be humiliated".

I will enjoy the day when Akermanis is humiliated.

What?!? Did you watch it on the Footy Show this morning? Absolutely nothing in it. They all agreed there was no free kick.

I've heard that the Australian Olympic Diving Team have been on the phone to S.Wakelin earlier today. Apparently they can see the potential for a Gold Medal in Athens 2004.

Well, it just goes to show that everyone is good at something, doesn't it! :p ;)

The free kick payed in the last quarter against Presty was there. The ball came exactly over his head as he cannoned into the pack The other players(Lynch Brown and some Collingwood players) were going for the ball but unless Presty had eyes in the back of his head he was going for Lions players.

I thought Brown was the First player he Infringed on.

when aker won the brownlow last year i was happy for him coz i didnt mind him, but this year i reckon its gone to his head and he seems to have turned into an arrogant prick

He had a pretty average day yesterday, actually. However, if there is an occasion where Akermanis is 'humiliated' as you say Alf, will that be your crowning moment in football?

Likewise, what if he merely turns around and takes it all on the chin, like he does on most occasions? I know who'll look the fool then - certainly won't be him.

Similarly, by the manner in which a number of Collingwood people have been sprouting off, I'd think that you'd be the last one to be talking about words/actions coming back to bite people on the arse . . .

A lot of people will Alf.

I don't see why people take such an interest in seeing the 'misfortune' or 'humilation' of others. It doesn't say much of their own character. I mean, shouldn't they merely be more concerned with their own doings, rather than worrying about others?

Akermanis has obviously got a few people a little rattled, to say the least.

Maybe Jason could on occasions, listen to this advice.

Perhaps, although, I should note that trying to deflect attention away from the fact that the comment was orignally directed at you, wasn't particularly successful.

Was that a Vic footy show by any chance, the same one that said there was nothing in Clokes fair attack on the ball on Edwards.

I was actually going to storm out early but my brother stropped me and luckily he did so we could cheer Bucks when he got the Norm Smith Medal and made a great speech.

Yeah Akermanis and Lynch were booed, personally I've always thought of Akermanis as a loud mouthed midget, his comments about the crowd and umpiring confirmed this after the game and Lynch always plays for and dives around looking for free kicks. I couldn't bring myself to clap any of them(Don't mind Brown and Leppitsch to be honnest but I was too gutted to be gracous in defeat at the time).

Absolutely terrible effort by a large number of Collingwood fans, booing Lynch, Akermanis and Michael. I remember back in'90 when the Pies won, there was virtually no negativity at all, even after a spiteful game. There were quite a number of these supporters around me, and have cemented my hatred for anything black and white.

Oh well I guess we will have to be content with back to back flags, and sucsess starved Buckley and homesick O'Bree will have to put up with a 'gallant' loss!

Haha Thats because they had all left by half time when the game was over.

Also how much is the AFL going to give you extra in the salary cap next season to ensure a three in row?

Go and have a cry like your coach! Or maybe you prefer footballers like Dog Act Licuria, and could weep like him! Was he crying from the result or the fact he could only manage to drop one knee into someone's head?

I guess the Lions wouldn't have minded guaranteed return games against Carlton or Richmond this year either, but that wouldn't suit your whinge!

Clearly then it's now legal for a fullback to turn his back to the ball and imitate a Play School aeroplane and drive himself into his oppenent.
