5th quarter he stated that the Eagles could be on the bottom of the ladder without Richmond winning tomorrow. Umm can someone explain to me how they can gain 3% without winning?

If your percentage is 81% and you lose by 1 point, meaning for that game your percentage is 99%-ish, then your percentage goes up. Not sure if there is enough in the tank to go up by 3% in this particular case though.

It did happen to Richmond just a few weeks ago. We lost narrowly (probably against the Hawks) and because our % was so bad it went up.

Rare case of both parties being wrong here.

The OP is wrong, because obviously, if Richmond have a narrow loss (in a game where there is an average-above average amount of goals kicked), their percentage will increase.

Christian is wrong, because, even if Richmond lose by a point, the scores would have to be around 201 to 200 for them to draw level with West Coast on percentage.
