With a couple of more players set to be traded out this year, I've been looking at our past players who were traded (or left by FA choice). Looking at the 42 (edit not 36) on the list reminded me that there are many different reasons why players go to other clubs. That 55 came to us the same period we have to be considered a "destination" club or at least a club that regularly seeks to acquire talent by trading.
However this year we have potentially another 4 players that could add to this list and it will be interesting to see if 4 get added.
I also found it interesting the players who successfully transitioned to a new club. Being traded ain't so bad it seems, I suppose it's attitude meets environment.

Heater, the only one I really miss. Can't count McGuane or even McKenna, we've been stooging Carlton for years. Mick & Daisy finished them off though for a long time!

Schauble - thought he had a lot to offer.

I was sad to see Dawes go . I watched the 2010 prelim again today and he was playing well at that time but dropped away quite a bit. Still we haven;t found a replacement for him

Yeah quite a few had a lot in them. Davis to Swans annoyed me at the time especially when he single handedly got them to the GF

Yeah loved Davis almost as much as his old man. Don;t think we had a lot of choice on that one

Was shattered when Tarrant was traded. My favourite player as a kid was Sav Rocca so when he left, I was not a happy campaigner. Still hold a grudge to this day about that. Never liked Mick because of it (bar one day in oct).

Been a Seedsmaniac for a few years. Really thought he was going to be our version of a goddard/bartel/Burgoyne but alas not to be. Won $600+ due to his anzac heroics so we leave on good terms.

Need to add Andrew Orchard to that list and Tony Francis Monkhorst and Mcguane.

I loved Dawes during 2011 but wasn't sad, same can be said for Shaw.... Daisy is an interesting one and I'll always have a soft spot for him, really didn't begrudge him leaving, I guess you could say he was one of my favourites.
