I loved Dawes during 2011 but wasn't sad, same can be said for Shaw.... Daisy is an interesting one and I'll always have a soft spot for him, really didn't begrudge him leaving, I guess you could say he was one of my favourites.
He WAS my favourite player.

As things eventually turned out he was the epitome of a s**t person. Met him twice and gee whiz he's a flog and a half. Sadly Elliott also WAS my favourite player up until i met him the day after Anzac Day this year at Windy Hill in the VFL, s**t bloke too.

Then you get the rarity...

Chris Tarrant.... But luckily he came back.

The big Savaloy... Still can't understand why we let him go... Excellent player. Underrated career.

Was pretty devastated when we forced Daics to retire. He then got fit and almost re entered the draft and was gonna be picked up Essendon I think.

Paul Williams - was too good to let go.

Mick McGuane - even though he was finished, you don't let club legends go to the parasites, even it was to do nothing.

Tony Francis and the big monkey also..

I was absolutely shattered when they traded Tarrant out.

Was miffed about losing Nick Davis was an excellent player and real talent.

Was pissed at Daisy leaving till I heard his ankle was rat shit.

Liked P.Williams, S.Rocca, Dawes, Wellers and Heater too so sad to see them leave.

Heater, Wellingham & Harry O - I loved each of these blokes and seen so much potential in them. If it wasn't for Harry's personality he would've been awesome!

Back in the day i was really pissed when Mike Richardson left, was my favourite player as a kid.
Another one was Brent Tuckey could have been a Collingwood champion and Coleman medallist and possibly brownlow medallist as well.
Then by shipping him off to WC around bad influences we destroyed a legend before it was born, That is his take on it anyway :D.

Beams and Heater. Shattered to have lost two such damaging offensive weapons.

Loved Beams for his clearance work too which some seem to forget was/is a huge part of his game when he was on.

Heater might be a little one dimensional but damn he's good at what he does.

I'm going to step outside the OP's guidelines just quickly to mention one of my favourites who was lost to injury not trade.
Sean Rusling looked like he had it and was doing some really nice things until his shoulders just wouldn't cooperate any more. Really burned watching him disappear.

Not just one of but the favourite - Heater.

He wasn't perfect but I don't buy the it had to be done school of thought and will always consider it as horrible moment in our Club's history.

Yeah Mike Richardson to the Bears was a big one for me too. Had the #17 on my back as a kid. Played some ripping games out at VFL Park. :(

Loved premiership heroes Tony Francis and Scotty Russell too and I was
gutted when they both left. They just didn't look right in Saints or Swans jumpers respectively.

As a kid it grated me when my heroes left but as you get older and I suppose less enamoured by the players you understand it's all part of the caper. Some come in, some go out but the Black & White goes on.

In saying that I would be gutted if Pendles was traded #ManCrush
