I couldnt belive Solly's actions in the last quarter with C C C.
Fair enough C C C gave him a little nudge, but surely Solly could of tried to milk a free outta it,
yet he gave them a 50 and that dug our tiny hole bigger,

I thought we had a chance,
everyone would of,...then that happend.
All I was saying to myself was "Solly has cost us the game,Solomon has cost us the game".

That boost thier confidence back to 100% and we were screwed.
It was a good game anyway,we tried and got to 15pionts with in thier reach...but 50points? Farken Hell :(

It wasn't even a dive, it was a slip. He just fell on his arse and got a free; Soly's reaction was probably more caused by the umpire's decision than anything else.

Absolute bullsh-t it was. We weren't the same from that point on; we just quit playing.

There's the difference. Solly wouldn't try to milk a free like that little front running prick.

For me the turning point was when Mercuri got ko'd. Does anyone else think that was reportable? He had his head over the ball and was smashed with a hip.

Anyway, fwiw (to use an old cliche) his 2%'s last night were great, especially in the forward line. I'm not saying we would have won had that not happened, but it would have been a more sobering loss like 20 to 30 points, rather than a 50 point one.

Yes. As I said in my post on the AFL board, Mercuri's head was down. The ball was there, so it wasn't off the contest, but the ball had gone by the time Burgoyne hit Mercs. It was almost Burygone's lower back that hit Mercs, but hip/back, whatever, Mercuri was down and it was high. On TV, it looked like Mercuri had two front teeth knocked out, and he was 'out' before he even hit the ground. Clearly, hit in the head. Anyone who tells me that isn't high, give me a break, go **** yourself.

A lot of replays downplay the incident, but two could be damaging for Burgoyne - one showed that it was clearly high, and another showed him not even looking at the ball. Should have at least been a free kick. And the Port fans are whingeing about Rioli.

Definitely the turning point, unfortunately.

pricks

I agree,
yes C C C shouldnt have done that,
and what goes around comes around.
You hit me,I'll hit you...simple.
The ump is obviously one eyed.

And for the Mercs incident,
watch the replay again,
the little prick from Port stuck his elbow out,
hard to see on some replay's but it is visible from the behind shot.
He wont even get reported for it...you watch.

To me the turning point in the last quarter was when Lucas had the ball on the boundary 30 from goal and "centered" the ball outside 50 on the other side of the ground. Port got the ball and ran it down for a goal and that was that. Poor thinking by Lucas!

Actually I thought Lucas had a shocker last night which was his first for the year. When he was put on Tredea he seem to fall apart badly. He couldn't keep up with him and didn't tackle hard. Tredrea must have been rubbing his hands with glee!
